Summoner BCNMs

I'm very interested in trying to solo some BCNMs. I know some are possible, and others simply aren't. I'd like to start at the lower ones (BCNM20) and work my way up.

I've never tried to solo a BCNM before, but I imagine it would be fairly similar to the solo avatar battles.

I plan to attempt the BCNM 'Charming Trio', which is three leech NMs which are weak to Light. I think I can just use carbuncle and searing light them to death if I bring some Hi Potion, Yagudo Drink, and Ether.

How likely am I to succeed?

Which BCNMs should I stay away from?

If you solo BCNMs, which are your favorites?

Don't even attempt Charming Trio solo, I've lost it twice trying to duo it, and the few times I've won have been full SMN trios. The thing you're not realizing is that the leeches have a drain attack they use fairly often. So any avatar you try on them is going to have itself ripped apart fairly quickly. When we do 3 SMN, the idea is to have one use Shiva for the main AF strike, and 2 Ramuh's to thunderspark and bounce the aggro around while you resummon Shiva for 2nd strike.

Shooting Fish is, however, doable, you don't get hit too hard while trying to resummon, so it's a bit safer.

If you haven't already, try soloing an ENM or two, these tend to be easier for us. The obvious one is the ENM60 in Mineshaft #whatever. But you can also do the Monarch Linn ENM40 "Fire in the Sky", you 2hr with Ifrit, and basically try to beat the Cluster before it has a chance to do 3 Self Destructs and beat you to the punch. You can also solo the quest for the rematch against the Mammets in Monarch Linn, that has some great rewards, and can be redone once every conquest update. It is uncapped however, so you might want to hold off til you're 75.
