took me days. took almost a week of killing leeches before i got the dang ruby (with th2 the entire time) then it took 3-4 days to get all the colors.

is all abt luck. u can took 1 day or took few day or week.
what u can do is to do a research on which place/area will likely appear the element you want compare to all other place etc.

Ruby 1/1 Got weather within 8hours of starting quest. Not hard at all. Might be if you get aggro in some weather zones.

I did mine in a couple of hours. I used the weathermen scattered around Vanadiel to see when, and where certain weather conditions would be happening, then I would book it to that location if I needed the element. As for getting the Ruby, I got it in Buburimu Penninsula in like a half hour.

I got my ruby in Korroloka Tunnel while en route to NMs for Ninja quest. Got all of elements in about 1 hour because I had Estya escort me to Raugemont then we just tele'd around the 3 Crags until I got all my elements except fire. Then I ran from Crag of Dem to Valkurm and got my fire element right away.

took me all of 3 hours. had a thf/nin get my ruby from qufim in under 20 min. then i had a whm friend of mine tele. me around.. couldnt find the fire one.. had bad luck with it. but it was really short.

I got the ruby after 7 kills, and got all the weather elements, except snow, within 4 hrs of pt'ing @ the Dunes. On route for snow now .

I got mine in Buburimu penninsula, took less than an hour. ^^b
