  • Avatar HP/MP/Stats depend on Summoners Stats?

I'm not sure if this has any relevance or truth but...

Hume 75BRD/37SMN and Tarutaru 75BRD/37SMN both Summon Garuda.
Both Garudas get hit by an AOE Attack for the same amount of damage.
Hume's Garuda Lives, Taru's Garuda Dies.

I'm actually not positive if they took the same amount of damage, but you get the idea.

Does anyone know if Avatar HP / Stats are in any way related to the Summoners Stats?

This would be pretty easy to test using - INT and +INT Gear and having an avatar cast their level II or IV magic.

Or maybe have the avatar of different race summoners fight a cactaur and see how much 1000 need does to them?

1000 needles is a set amount of damage unless you have buffs up.

I am just saying that if differente races effect the avatars stats(HP), then you could have them fight cactuars so that a set amount of damage would be taken by both avatars.

also might wanna note that avatars don't actually have any MP of their own, they just use the summoner's MP.

Actually, avatars do have their own MP pool, they just don't ever use it. Monsters can aspir an avatar and get MP, but not lower the SMN's MP at all.

Zempten's idea seems like a good test to me. Just fight a cactaur with anything other than carbuncle (he regens, slowly, but he does), let it do 1000 needles, and have both people do <pethpp>.

Probably best to do it as /SMN so differences in HP would be more noticable, as well as having a tank other than the avatar.

You'd probably need SMN up to about 20 - 25 to even get them to survive 1000 needles with 2 people and 2 avatars though. (Avatars have a natural 50% physical damage reduction, but 125HP is still a good bit of their HP, considering that at level 75 I don't think my avatars even have 1000HP.)

Maybe the old theory of smn skill effects avatars.

Or it could be my own personal theory, of avatars' power varies between summons.

Smn's themselves can be summoned with slight variations which is further weighted againist a smn's smn skill level.

Like trying to debuff a monster.

It's not quite impossible to spawn an avatar similar to the monster system with a little weighted average.
