What lvl Fame for Avatar Quests

I've decided to take on SMN as my secondary job and lvl that and DRG. Right now I'm working on raising my fame for the avatar quests. I want all of the avatars for SMN, I feel stupid with just Carbuncle. I was wondering how much fame is needed? I've heard from some friends that it's lvl 6 fame. But I've also heard it's lvl 7. I currently have lvl 5 fame in Windurst, 4 in bastok, and 1 in San d'Oria. Can anyone clarify? Your help is greatly appreciated ^^


PS: Can anyone reccomend a good/cheap way to raise bastok fame? And not that Quus quest, that thing is extremely boring after the 1st time :dead:

I see no use for DRG/SMN, just a suggestion, mean nothing by it.

But anyway, it's level 7. I just accepted Shiva quest last night, so I can vouch, it's only 7.

I have no intentions of goind DRG/SMN. I'm staying DRG/WAR may try out DRG/SAM later, but will most likely stay WAR sub. What I meant is that I'm also lvling SMN. Not to sub but to play. With SMN I sub WHM. Thanks for the reply. ^^ Now I just have to take the time to build it up to 7

You only need fame level 6 -- NOT 7.

I've done all the summon quest very recently and I just got fame within the last two weeks. Each time it was the sixth statement for fame. You do NOT need fame 7 as far as I can tell. The only one I'm not 100% sure about is San d'Oria because I jumped from fame 4 to fame 7 within a matter of an hour. The others however I know for a fact. Also, for Tenshudo fame, a good way to check it is: Go to Jeuno, next to the auction house there is the Neptunes Spire. Walk in, talk to the lady at the desk, and ask to see her goods. If she tries to sell you a rice ball for 155 gil, you have enough fame. Otherwise you need to do some more tenshudo quests.

Facts:

Fame level 6 is required in Windurst and Bastok for sure. San d'Oria, I can only assume it's fame 6, as I passed right by it to fame 7.

Tenshudo fame is good when you can buy rice balls for 155 gil each.

The best way to get your Bastok and SanD fame up is buy stacks of LeTheine Cabbage or Millioncorn from NPCs in SanD.
Go to Selbina and give to the guy with the sheep.

30 Stacks of millioncorn should do ya, maybe about 40 of cabbage. Its cheap to buy form the NPC in South SanD, so dont be stingy.

Very sorry, I just knew it wasn't 8 in Sandoria. As someone else said, I jumped from 5 to 7 in 20 minutes....so I never got to try 6.

You know I just dont know how to get good fast fame in Windurst. I mean I am going to become a summoner in about...ummmmm..... 3 lvls. So I need to know how to get some good fame. Oh and another thing if you were a level 25 smn and you are sick of carbuncle, can you get help from high lvlers? I was told that you could not get summoners at higher lvls. I can understand that you cant get Ifrit or definitley Fenrir at such a level even with help. If that is not true please tell me. What I am trying to get to is that what kind avatars can i get at level 25-30? If you know please tell me. Muchos Gracious!! (dont know if I spelt that one right LOL).:sweat:
