even so they probably won't take you along. they'll just tell you to level up to 60 before they even consider taking you to an avatar battle.

          Level 30

I just want to know if i can be level 30 and get high level players to help me out on my avatar battles. Cause i could get some if I tried do u think it would be ok for me to stay back in the battle ( In the pt) adn just let them kill it or is there a special way u have to do it?

Yeah, probably if they are 70 or above.

You just stand back....way back. Because of AoE. And just let them beat the avatars up. Garuda will probably be the hardest fight, so I've heard.

In my LS, we have 73pld Highest, 63rdm (now 55brd could be higher), 60rdm (me), 54 whm (the one who wants to be a summoner), 55monk and 55 whm. The pld offered the 54 whm to help but he said he will lvl till he hit 60. He wants to earn the summons and not handed down. Maybe 61 could be suited for a whm for CureV. Since CureV = CureIII hatewise. Really people lvling till 50 is not that hard. Good solid groups can take from 1~2lvls. Starting from 55 is a bit tricky though...

Don't forget about Fenrir, the newest summon addition. I heard a full party of 75's have a problem with him. But that is just what I've heard on another board, considering I don't have the game yet.

fenrir is one of the hardest one-party battles in the game, from what I've gathered. The only thing more difficult is Dyanamis, but mostly because it's an AoE mess of crap with horrid communication.

I just sat and chilled by the cloisters until a group with a open spot didnt mind inviting. You have to be VERY patient but its worth it in the end. Enjoying Leviathan and Garuda right now like crazy ^^

Last night and today were my first two avatar fights. Being level 59 I decided it was worth a shot. Yay me I picked Leviathan as my first. First time we almost killed him but died. We had no tank so we had the 72 BLM tank with stonekin and blink, at about 1/8th hp left he used his two hour right when carol ran out and one-shotted all the level 70's. We almost won, but not quite. Today we tried it again with a real tank. Took no time at all, defeated him in 6 minutes with no problems, astral flows only hit the tank for about 200 (level 65 warrior mind you).

Now that i see what it's like I intend to fight them all with the exception of fenrir (although i may for the hell of it). I'd suggest waiting because it was the most exhilirating experiences ever, but if not whatever that's your choice.

Got lucky, eh . From my experience with avatar fights, whether you win or lose is often dependent solely on how many people resist the avatar's 2hr/astral flow. I've seen a lvl 49 dragoon take 100 damage, I've also seen a 75 Galka DRK in full defense mode get dropped to 100hp (personally I've been dropped to 40-ish hp when Garuda 2hr'ed just as I was running to the frontlines to refresh baraero).

Sounds like someone had better use benediction before or after the 2hour is activated. im a rdm looking forward to summons as well and from the information i've gathered it seems as tho it will take 2 rounds and a preplanned PT and a galka pld to do the trick.
