Samurai/Dragoon...?

good idea? bad idea? what do you guys think. i like the idea, im just not too familiar with the abilities of each, so i dont want some really good ones to be wasted or have some cancel each other out or something. or maybe the other way around... Dragoon/Samurai (im posting this same question in the dragoon topic...) lemme know what ya think

Anything/ Dragoon seems horrible! No dragon and you only get the first basic jump ability unti you reach lvl 70! (2nd junp ability is lvl 35).

I mean what's the point of being a dragoon without those abilities?

Oh, but DRG/SAM seems like it could be cool... especially if you solo!

Actually, Dragoon gives a pretty good Str boost as well as other stats. And in the higher levels you will get the accuracy up passive...

Hmm i'd say it'd only be decent for the very early and way later on levels. Sure you'll deal pretty good damage and u'll get the basic jump - but u'll take damage pretty poorly and have a general lack of abilities, as Samurai and Dragoon don't get many as it is.

Ok, first, you can only start out as WAR, THF, MNK, RDM, BLM or WHM. When you reach lvl 30 you can do a quest for the rest of the sub jobs. At that point ANY job combo is possible including DRG/SAM but some combos work better than others. The sub job is half the level of the main job. So if you have lvl 30 DRG, the SAM sub can't be higher than 15. You get all the abilities of your main job (to the current level) and can only have the SAM abilities of its current sub job lvl (in this case, 15). Plus, every job gets a special 2-hour ability. You can never use that special abilty of the sub job, only the main job.

hmm as far as i know DRK is a worthless sub for any combonation. so if you were really going to go with that combonation you may wana do sam/drk. . . i duno tho =\
