I was just wondering what jobs most of you other samurai subbed and for what.
Also what armor/weapons you use, and where/ for what you use them.

*sigh...* go sam/whm until level 10. at level 10, go sam/war until 60. at 60, it becomes a tradeoff between sam/war and sam/thief, depending on your party setup.

and as for great katanas, there's this thing in jeuno called an "Auction House." it's a really neat place where you can buy stuff. i get my gk's from there. if you want to know what npc's sell them, alakazam and -i think- somepage.com both have good guides on npc merchants.

I duno I always have better results with melee/war to get to 10, and just eat attack food. With whm you seem to kill even slower, and the two or so cures you get doesn't seem to make up for it.

Agreed, just sub WAR and eat meat jerky.

they should be really easy to afford

and for food grilled black hare meat is nice

later, sam/war, sam/thf or sam/rng can be done, but there are sticky threads about sub jobs, so not search button needed for this question

I know there are many other forums with stuff like this. Also *looks over to his info* i think im pretty good for lvls 10 and up.... I just like to get opinionated info that is current.

anyways, /thf and /war seem to be the two biggest winners 60+. for /thf you want to close the skillchain with a sneak attack-ws if possible.

dont forget the nice trick attack for changing the hate to tank while closing renkei's and u'll pull alot as sam/thf i went sam/rng before patch v.v ;crys a bit; anyways sam/rng is very tdious i think now not only do u have to get the right range to hit successfully but direction too whew oh and heres some advice for the 59 hauby dont buy it just the ingredints its over 8mil on my server and i can barely make 450k a week, lvs 10 ur clear ya? ok weps for later on hmm i wish i had a list i'd tell u the cheapest and most effective ones, armor umm my quest for lists contuine bleah out of time tell ya tomorrow i'll have a full list for ya (i hope) >,,>

k, thanks for the info.

I've been using /war since i started sam. I've thought about subbing alot of different jobs. Thf for SATA but i dont really like to pull to much. Rng would be nice for camping NMs. I plan on getting to lvl70 then lvling some more jobs to try out(mainly for sub). Also the haub on Garuda is like 11mil, so no chance of me gettin one of those, I'll just end up using my AF until i can equip the Hachiman set, or until i get AFv2.

RK chainmail till u "somehow" get haub just talked to my gf on valefor the haub hit 15mil >.< friend is lving smithing and others to make hauby's but normally with hauby and lvs before 70 RK chainmail for SC (remember sam WSs jinpu is 25% str based and gekko and kasha is 50% str based so for jinpu and gekko purposes use RK chainmail before u use the WS) at 70 swap JSE and hauby and swap AF helm and O. Hat, once ur 60+ swap ur AF feet for Feral boots for the atk+ nothin special hmm thats all i got for now hope that helps

Cool thanks. I'll use my many many Conquest Points to get a RK Chainmail. I might just buy the whole set and use that. Sigh... why can't RMT just go to Hades, and quit screwing up the economy..
