Post your weapons of choice of any level. I'm kind of weird and have actually aimed to collect the top tier GKTs in the game.

I use Kamewari. I want a Soboro sukehiro tho. It would be a fun toy to solo or lvl npc with.

Which one is the one dropped by the scorpion nm (not serket, the one in kuftal, cant remeber name). I've been told its the best endgame xp gkt in the game. I'm guessing its one of those, but cant remember which.

Is it, in fact, considered to be the best xp wpn? How do Ushikirimaru and Shinsoku stack up?

Kamewari could be argued as best EXP GKT for things of arcana type. At 75 though I would -probably- prefer Ushikirimaru over it (those two are often compared like yin and yang for some reason) But it's all based on availability i guess. If you can't get one, the other is fine. Kamewari is a great option, it's well rounded, you just won't put out the higher numbers that a few others offer.

With my setup I notice slightly better results with Shinsoku over all though. Ushikirimaru is real similiar but WS damage is less consistant and even regular hits are less consistant. Plus seeing TP drain once in awhile is always fun I guess :D

I just got Katayama Ichimonji last week for my level 10 SAM. I can see it lasting me a while. ^^

DAMN got a katayama ichimonji when i was about to level in valkurm, is a great katana and (yes i admit it lol) every person that checks me is envious.
But there is a thing that bother me though.
I've watched the Action House for some great katana........... WHERE? There are no great katanas for high levels! After level 20 there is nothing i can buy because there is nothing in the AH, and even if i should kill some NM for weapons, i suck at knowing NM!

A lot of Great Katana are available from Norg and Tenshodo (in Jeuno and Bastok). Check http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/list...Great%20Katana or http://mysterytour.web.infoseek.co.j.../us/index.html. For example, Okanehira (level 23) can be bought in Jeuno or Norg. I recommend buying from Jeuno as you'll likely have higher Jeuno fame than Norg fame (unless you already have a high level job).

On a side note, I got myself a shiny new Soboro Sukehiro. ^^

blasphemy! i was lvl22 and i used my katayama for a while...but then im like fuk it and switched to gunromaru(sp)

I'm in the middle of leveling all my "Eastern Jobs" right now. NIN12, MNK10, SAM9 (about 500tnl). I'll be heading out tonight to get my hands on this Great Katana. I wanna have this as soon as I level. Too bad it's SAM only, I wouldn't using it for NIN to solo and level Ninjutsu up just a little bit.

The only thing nin (mnk too) has similar is Faith Baghnakhs, but they are level 73 and require Virtue Stones.
