How rare is Shinsoku on your server?

hmmm..... after getting Hagun (new g. katana with TP bonus) i have to say this one is better then kamewari...... was able to do a 1081 gekko with Hagun with /war on statues in sky..... average gekko was about 500-800 with about 120ish tp..... down side of this g. katana is that its dmg is 75, with berserk was able to hit those statues for about 90-120, without berserk about 80..... gonna try it with /thf sub next......... seeing how much dmg i can do with it, rumor says it adds 100tp when you ws.... i think its true for this baby. At first i thought this g. katana was gonna be crap.... but after getting it and testing it out.... my opinion on it has completely changed...... need to get a shinsoku and compare b4 i can say which is better. maybe ill ask the other sam in my LS to let me borrow it..... yar... he went on the bcnm99 and it dropped.... did the wyrm one...... dont think i can get it out of his hands though.

on my server i've seen a total of 4 on different sams... might be more but.... need to check around. i have yet to get a Ushikirimaru, so i cant say its better...... but this g. katana is fighting for 2nd or 3rd place spot now imo :sweat:

I think Shinsoku does almost always same dmg with +5str. And Ushikirimaru can sometimes hits harder than Shinsoku but could hit really too. But I think Shinsoku is still better. you have an Additional Effect.

I just got the latest Shinsoku on Leviathan. Cost me 7 big ones, I'm currently leveling like a madman. Just 11k exp before I can equip it.

done a total of 3 or 4 horns of war so far, no shinsoku, 1 dropped from early bird catches the worm for our LS, about it though.... still dreaming about this g. katana...... upgraded ito to hayatemaru..... working on currency now for Oboromaru... and currently, like always, broke

Shinsoku was made effectively obsolete by the onimaru.

When you do a weaponskill that 5 str is going to translate to 3 bonus DMG... which is how much more DMG onimaru has over shinsoku when you have less than 100 tp or are using a weaponskill. So all shinsoku is giving you is a slightly better check against your opponents VIT, and while that technically mean shinsoku might do slightly more damage, I hardly think it's worth the price tag. Plus, onimaru gives you 18 attack and 5 accuracy when its latent is on, which I think offsets that comparitively minor STR boost.
I've seen the shinsoku in action, and the TP drain affect rarely activates and is quite weak. ~6 TP every couple dozen hits or so.

So yeah, it's not a bad weapon, and it used to be the best aside from relic, but with hagun and onimaru floating around it's just a novelty piece.

I've been running amok on my server trying to buy one for 5 mil, but nobody wants to sell it to me. I want it for the 5 STR as well as the TP Drain.

I would never use Hagun over Shinsoku, ever. Ever.

And parsered in PTs Onimaru finishes even after Ushikirimaru. The 83 D is nice with the latent and everything for WS but for regular hits it seems to be garbage in comparrison.
