    yep thats rite, I want to get your guys opinions, I stand firm that SAM/RNG can gain the fastest TP, and deal the most damage. Some person said it was gimp. *J00 KNOW WHO U ARE!!!111one* I want to get your opinions. *points finger*

    Duh, obviously Sam/Rng can do the most damage, rngs gain TP fast as hell alone. Besides you also get Sidewinder and a Ranged accuracy bonus.

        I chose to vote SAM/WAR based off parsers i ran lol. RNG sounds like the right sub for most damage but until end game it's really kind of a weak combination, too hit or miss. SAM/THF rocks the consistantly high damage renkeis and is really PT friendly but ultimately failed in total damage due to the lack luster regular attacks. And SAM/WAR romped all in the overall aspect.

          I voted for SAM/THf. SAM/RNG is really depends what Mobs you are killing. Without good Equip (Optical hat, Seiryu's kote, Peacock Charm..) on NM or Gods.. Happy good missing :sweat: .

            I agree with Nodachi, but I voted for /RNG. Its obvious that ranged attacks do more damage than normal attacks, for Samurai per say. Ranged attacks also allow you to gain TP twice as fast, which in turn allows you to use WSs more frequentally. Sidewinder or Slugshot is also a bonus at higher levels.

            My vote for "best" sub would go for /WAR since it's abilities come in useful more often. But this topic was about flat out "the best damage output" which subing Ranger excels in.

            Subing Ranger is by no means gimp, personally I'd choose a Sam/Rng over a Rng mainly because of the TP benefits, and multi- Renkie skills.

              I go with SAM/WAR because double attack and berserk are very good and because saving your party from an add on is priceless (voke and run away like a sissy ). SAM/THF can give you consistent and good damage but depending on the party setup it can be underused leaving it useless (another THF or /THF, no trick partner after 60, etc etc). SAM/RNG...well if a RNG main has problems landing sidewinder imagin how hard it is for a SAM . When doing coffer hunting/quests SAM/RNG can be pretty good on those lower than you mobs, but when actually fighiting in an xp party you should relie on your GKT...not your bow.

              Just one q...why did you include SAM/MNK? Though it's true that /MNK is the only +ATT sub from 1-30 why would you sub that past that moment? (Though i doubt anything besides THF and WAR can get away with subbing MNK even at the early lvls when you always need more than one tank.)

                  Does missing Sidewinders count as doing damage?

                  Or are we not talking about dealing damage in exp party?

                          Can 2 SAM PT together in the same PT and still get good exp? You could just parser /THF and /WAR or /RNG

                          I would think that Berserk+accuracy+double attack extra damage would be more than SA, if you want to argue that SC position affects the parser log, /THF and /WAR could just switch WS positions >.>

                          Because SAM has C or C+ in Archery, Sidewinder would need 200%TP usually, right?

                            Pre-food nerf parses have shown Sam/War as the overall king of dmg for exp pt setups. Double Attack really does mean that much of a difference.

                            Pre-food nerf and even post food nerf Sam/Thf can still dish out 1300-1400 Gekko on Kirin.

                            Pre-food nerf I've seen Sam/Rng go 800 Sidewinder -> 900 Sidewinder on EP with ease. This was back when Kabobs jacked up rng atk. I haven't seen any Sam mess around with /rng post nerf, but considering theres no universal food anymore...

                            And I have watched 300% TP +60rng acc +prelude rangers miss Sidewinder at 75.

                              nope, he so bluntly stated last thread that SAM/RNG was completly gimp, I made this thread to prove em wrong that the majority of players know SAM/RNG may not be as practicle, but can deal more damage.

                              which is why I got war/thf/rng lvled up to 37 >.>
