I'll soon be working on this quest, assuming I beat Maat any time soon. What is known about our NM? Location, type, power etc. I can't find jack on it.

I thought the beetle was pretty easy, 12 lv70's should be more than enough to whoop it's ass. getting the 300 points to get rid of the latent is also pretty easy for sam. Just join a key shout or something and if you get someone to renkei with you, you might get it completely gone in a couple hours. Something I didn't know though, my latent effects weren't going away even after I counted over 300 points because you need to unequip then reequip the weapon to see if the latents are gone.

Beetle NM : Killed it with about 10 people, 65~75lvl range

Latent Effect : no need to remove to check, once your 10 resist and 20 hp bonus is gone from equipping the Tachi of Trials, you are ready to get the quest to kill NM.
