      Equips are mostly the same. DRKs are going to kill you with spells though. So, DRKs are more expensive to optimally equip.

        that one spell is like 150k, asorb dex or so...that alone will kill ya
        I tend to thim Samurai some what, as not so many GK for sell, and they tend to be higher priced, compared to all the drks weapons

          The cost of food while leveling is much higher for Samurais. On Midgardsormr, Meat Mithkabobs run about 2400 for a full stack, Tonosoma Riceballs run 1100-2000 EACH. Both last 30 minutes.

            but you don't have to use riceballs.

            Hmmm, had a thought, if you're going to really use samurai to the fullest

            wouldn't you also be levelling archery skill? That's another sink of gil.

              No you don't have to use them. But, if you're talking about haubergeon's and absorb-dex, it's really only fair to compare to what a SAM of the same stature would use, right?

              And yeah, I didn't mention archery either, Bow+1 and Scorpion arrows aren't cheap over the longhaul :/ But if you're doing that, you wouldn't be doing the riceballs since you'd lose the double attack, and you'd want the AGI boost from meat mithkabobs. Maybe it balances out, i'm not really sure.

                I do try to lv my archery skill but it rarely goes up, and I use archery to pull anyway, since most of the PTs i was in expected me to pull. Sam only have C+ in archery anyway so even if u "go all out" samurai by doing some archery, I doubt it will be worth it.

                  hmm.. personally I feel achery is a distinctive advantange to SAM hence i always max my archery. Give me the kick whenever u land the umpf shot on the mob. Since i am the assigned static puller, i will use the highest damage arrows that i can afford to land the 1st shot at the mob. Together with hunter prelude + bettle rings, I should be able to hit at least 80+ -100 damage on a IT mob, using even a bone arrow. In emergency, i still can use a sleep arrow to halt the mob while allowing the party to escape. Having said that, i am working for my static party... may work differently for a random pick up party.

                  Correct me if i am wrong, archery seems to offer another piercing damage while GKT more like normal slice damage. Maybe i am imagining things but against certain mobs i tend to have a preference of using arrows over GKT. i.e. I use arrows on Crabs most of the time coz piercing gives better damage over certain armor.

                  As for leveling archery....mmm.. it is not that difficult really. During exp leveling. I notice that i will usually get max GKT skills when i enter 1/3 or 1/4 amount of my exp. Once my GKT is capped, i will equip with speedbow n cheap cheap bone arrows and keep firing at mob till it maxed out.. shouldnt take u too long. If you keep it maxed constantly, you should get your archery maxed by the time u hit the 2/3 or 1/2 of your total exp. On top of that, you still can equip with your GKT as main and dish out skillchains.
