No, wouldn't be good, you would be better at taking hits, but the MP would just be horrible, plus most of the abilities would suck. Now if you were a PLD/SAM at lv 60 and were soloing for whatever reason, that would work because of meditate.Rodin - Ragnarok Server (Out of Retirement)

Whenever you can rely on another person to make up for your weakneses, it is not a good idea to cover them up yourself. So, in a PT, dmg dealer goes all out and sacifices def, a tank does the opposite.
Only when you can't rely on someone else, (e.g. soloing or small PT questing/mission) would you try and balance your character.
