Any high level Tarutaru on the board?

Is there anyone on here that plays a Tarutaru Samurai past level 55? I have seen a few on my server, but unfortunately run into language difficulties when trying to talk with them. I am starting down that road and would like to ask some advice, if possible.

I'm just starting out but was wondering if you could give suggestions for what direction to go with stat equipment. Did you stick with the usual +dex/+acc stuff or is it worth worrying about Strength also?

I guess Taru RSE will be helpful when I get it, and the Samurai AF...

I'm not a TaruTaru but I can give a few suggestions. I think you'll mainly want some Dex equipment. Stuff like Spike Necklace (which will last you a damn long time) will help in both realms. I try to keep them about even as my hume. If you manage to get your hands on an Ochiudo's Kote and can use Meat kabobs every battle, then I'd say go full dex. Being a lvl 43 Monk too, (and still not having the means to get kote ><) I've had alot of experience in balancing which equipment must be prioritized. Luckily many sam/nin/mnk armor supplies a small amount of stats XD like Jujitsu gi, +4 acc (a must)
Centurions visor (+1 dex)
Jujitsu sitabaki (+1 dex +1 vit)
Spike Necklace (+3 dex +3 str)

If you can get your hands on Emperors necklace I'd buy yourself 2 +2 STR rings at 14 or 36. If you can't get urself an emp. necklace, try experimenting with dex and str combined.

I focused all my equipment on STR and DEX in the earlier lvl's and started to phase them out for ATT and ACC gear at later lvl's.

If you have the money go all out because unlike caster with spells we can always sell our items back to the AH. For me I spent alot of time farming and lvling my craft to afford the best equipment for my sam especially because i was a little midgit.
The problem i ran in with was that sometimes on high evasion mobs, i was missing alot, *one time I missed 10 times in a row on an IT mob***
So if you lack the spots, Focus more on dex/accuracy items because we sam's are known for our fast TP, but what good is it if we cant hit the stupid mob. You can always compensate for the lack of str with Mith kabobs.


Keep in mind that
2 str = 1 attack
2 dex = 1 accuracy
2 agi = 1 evasion

Thanks for the advice! At the moment I have mostly strength stuff, since it was cheap. I'm saving up for more dex related items.

I've found the same thing with strength, having more definately helps, but mithkabobs help out quite a bit in that area. Afterall, I supposed it would be possible to eat +dex or +acc food, but the tradeoff wouldn't be worth it.

I guess I'll try different balances of equipment, from what I can afford and see how it goes.

Now to find a good place to raise money for this stuff! ^_^
