If the armor isn't something to look forward to, then, something is obviously wrong.
From what I heard, if you equip the Hand Armor and switch use AF Helm armor when you use "Meditate", you get 200% tp instead of 140% with AF Helm on. 3 weaponskills in a row, set up your own renkei. Other classes will envy you.
Also, the Store TP +3, I heard, gives 3% more tp per swing, which equates to 17-18%tp per swing. Store TP #4 gives 14-15% tp, because right now, I have store TP #3, and I get 13-14% tp per swing. So with this armor, you get 17-18% tp per swing. As much as I don't want to say it, I will: Overpowered :confused: .
at lvl 10, with 11-12% tp per hit, you still need 9 hits to get back to weapon skill usable 100% tp level, and if you use Tachi: Enpi, you gain 23% tp back, if you land both hits.
At lvl 30, you get 12-13% tp back per swing, equating to 8 swings to get back 100% and 25% tp back after Tachi: Enpi if both hits hit, meaning you need 6 more atks before you can use a weapon skill again.
At lvl 50, you get 13-14% tp back, which is still 8 hits per swing, and after Tachi: Jinpu, you get 27% tp back. However, there is a big change at this level, if you use Meditate right before you use your weaponskill, if both of Tachi: Jinpu's hits land, then you get back 27% tp and you land one more attack within the 3 second interval for renkei'ing, you get 40% , 3 seconds 100% and you can do the dreamt of self-chaining without tanking easily.
Then, at lvl 60, you can use the AF Helm, which gives you 140% Tp on Meditate, which allows you to self chain even easier.
At lvl 70, you get 14-15% tp back, (I hope I am correct, I have only gotten Store TP #3 right now, but going with the flow of how TP store 1,2,3 works, I'm assuming that it is like this) which is 29% tp back after Tachi: Jinpu or 14% tp back after Tachi: Yukikaze, Tachi: Kasha, and meditate can give you 140% tp at lvl 70 with the AF Helm.
Now, once you have gotten the body armor, you get 3 more Store Tps. 17-18% tp per hit, equating to 6 hits needed to score a weaponskill, and 4-5 if you use a weapon skill, because you gain back that much tp (17% - 35% depending on which ws you use), and if double attack actually works, then it'll take even less time to use a weaponskill again.
The legs enhance the "Third Eye" ability, incase you pull hate from the PLD, very unlikely with a good PLD and a good THF. The enhancement from what I heard is that you get 2 dodges instead of 1, great for pulling and incase you're in a pinch.
I must restate that I am not 100% sure about the effects of the equipment, I may have heard wrong, but I do know that the equipment does exist, just not how sure I am about the job ability enhancements, if that is 100% or not, either way, I'm almost 100% sure, reading it from other forums and hearing it from my good friend that is a level 74 SAM.
If this doesn't make SAM awesome in the higher levels, then I don't know what will
Also, I really don't see the problem with a 1 hitter weapon skill for Samurai. :confused: especially when we get this armor. Also, if double attack stacks onto a 1 hitter weapon skill, won't that be better if a double attack stacks onto 1 of the hits of a 5 hitter? I'm not sure if I'm correct here, but if you double attack your 1 hitter weapon skill, doesn't the damage output become 200% whereas if you double attacked a 4 hitter (say guillotine) you only get 125% the damage? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is how it works.
* This topic is open to corrections, because I'm not 100% sure if all my information is correct(Equipment information is correct, but my assumptions and effects are still a bit cloudy) because I'm only still level 50. Double attack stacking onto my Tachi: Jinpu on a DC can easily get me 700-800 damage, but if double attack doesn't add on, I only do 400-500 damage on DC.
Also, am I correct to say that when Double Attack does work on the Weapon Skill, say on Tachi: Jinpu, do I get 40% tp back at level 50? or does it return 27% tp? I'm not really sure.*
