We couldn't come up with a skillchain with a RNG in our part a few days ago because nobody had a chart with Markmanship.

Yeah, you're right. Different WS but the same level are on the same charts. Wish I would have known that a few days ago. :dead:Originally posted by Luminaire

Alright....Aden's is starting to grow on me, though i'm still confused a bit. So in the upper-right, the cris-cross arrows mean that following the arrow direction you can make Gravitation or Distortion?
Also, is there another chart to go allong with this that shows types of creatures elemental weaknesses so that i know what renkei to use against which mobs?
EDIT: Also do you have to go from A to B to make the renkei? So could you go =
Spinning Axe > Vorpal thrust = Distortion?
Or do you have to go:
Avalance Axe > Shadow of Death = Distortion?
So basically, is A+A ok? A+B? B+A? B+B?
Some don't even have letters after them...what's up with that?

This is the one that I use. There's probably a billion things wrong with it, though. I don't even know what the thing on the bottom left means. I'm still a little hazy on the level 1, 2, 3 chain stuff as well. Only problem that I had with this one is when a weaponskill was in more than one box. I didn't notice until after, but it would do a chain other than what was expected (such as Tachi: Enpi > Nightmare Scythe).SAM 74

You really want to go to http://www.adennak.com/renkei.html instead. The current chart is V2.1 (renkei07.jpg). Ppl have reportedly gone to their local Kinko's and had them print out nice copies because this is the most complete and accurate english chart out there (as well as saving printer ink). Some ppl even lamenate them. ^^

For yours, you want Spinning Axe (A or B) > Vorpal Thrust (A or B) and Avalance Axe (A or B) > Shadow of Death (A or B). For Spinning Axe > Vorpal Thrust follow the lowest letters, A > A, and you see that's not possible. Next lowest, A > B, is also not possible. So, you'll look at B > A and viola, it makes Reverberation. So, there's no need to look at B > B. For Avalance Axe (A or B) > Shadow of Death (A or B), follow the same pattern and you'll see B > A makes Reverberation.
Another example. Gekko (A or B) > Impulse Drive (A or B) could make Induration, Fragmentation, or Darkness. So, you match up the lowest letters, in this case A > A and you'll see Darkness has priority. This also has the side effect of meaning that we Sam could pull off both Darkness and Light renkei using our 2hr. ^^
If you want to see how this is possible, follow this. Again, this info is from Adennak's chart. You start off having 100 tp with a spear and do Impulse drive. You then switch to Gkt, activate 2hr, then do Gekko (Darkness). Then, you activate Meditate and do Yukikaze. Then, comes Gekko (Fragmentation). Then, thanks to the renkei gods, you finish with Kasha (Light) because lvl 225+ weapon skills can connect with certain corresponding renkei. So the short hand is:
Impulse Drive > switch to Gkt > 2hr > Gekko (Darkness) > Meditate > Yukikaze > Gekko (Fragmentation) > Kasha (Light)
And before anyone says "But, you can't gain tp when you use your 2hr," lemme say that using meditate is the only exception to that rule. I personally do Sidewinder > Sidewinder > Yukikaze > Gekko > Kasha for Light renkei.
Finally, to answer "Some don't even have letters after them...what's up with that?" No letters just means you don't have to check priority. What you see is what you get. I hope this longwinded posts answers questions.
P.S. Adennak's chart has one mistake: Guillotine > Koki makes Fragmentation, not Impaction. The A and B for Koki are switched and should be fixed in the next version.
P.S.S. Yes, I'm the same Fast Cart that he thanks on his site. I'm sure he/she is sick of me by now. ^^

Re: where can i get a GOOD renkei chart
Aden's renkei chart is still the best out there, imo.
This one at www.vanaguide.com is much cleaner and easier to read, but is missing some information. For example, Blood Pacts aren't on there, and it's much harder to tell how the 220+ WSes interact with eachother than with Aden's.

Re: where can i get a GOOD renkei chart
I'd suggest Aden's and this one.
The second one is outdated, but better for understanding how skillchains actually work. Even though you can figure out the same from Aden's (I slapped myself for not noticing it on Aden's after I looked at this one), the second is simply better for learning what part elemental attributes (the A and B attributes) play in skillchains and for memorizing what weapon skills have which attributes (start with the ones most commonly used in skillchains), which will make you a veritable walking skillchain chart.
