We need like 5-10 Passive Abilities for Critical hits, Attack Speed down, and Demon Damage +.
    Skills I thought of:

Blood Eye: 10 Minute Timer: 1 Minute Duration
Gives extra accuracy to all moves and triples the chance of critical attacks. Learned at level 40.

Tachi: <insert uber Japanese esque name here>
5 Hit Weapon Skill with Minimal Damage, for 125 Skill Level. 5 Type element, Random between Ice, Fire, Electric, Earth, or Wind.

Transfiction: 30 Minute Timer: 10 Minute Duration
Change into a Demon (Only with Demon Circle on) and attack with boosted TP Charge and Speed. Learned at level 45.

    Flash: 5 Minute Timer
Sacrifice a random amount of health and change it into damage inflicted upon the enemy. It MIGHT kill you if you use it ( XD ). A large amount of TP is given equal to the percent of health taken. Learned at level 50.

Enchanting Wave: 30 Minute Timer : 10 Minute Duration
Leghten Demon Circle Duration and give it stronger power. Stronger effect with Transfiction. Learned at level 60.

      this is NOT WoW.. transform into a demon.. ._.;;;;;;;

only thing sam needs is a gkatana weaponskill that does 4 or more hits, and that would pretty much settle all of the issues everyone has..

      wwwwww {Do you have it?}

The sad thing is, if you gave sam a 4-hit weapon skill it would not only defeat the purpose of a dark knight or a dragoon, but it would cause an unneccessary amount of attention on one skill for samurai, where the job's strength lies in its versatility with skillchains. Basically, its a catch 22, either way you lose with the multi-hit sam weapon skill. What the job reall yneeds is some off the wall trait/ability that either A) enhances damage or accuracy, or B) produces some unique effect that would make the class more worth while and therefore versatile in a group situation.

Basically instead of giving us Sams some crap like demon circle, we should've ended up with an ability similar to a monk's focus ability, or a a dragoon's accuracy up trait. You get what I'm saying? :p

basically the gil toss somewhat makes sense, and somewhat doesn't

yojimbo (bodyguard) is a ronin samurai who fights for money.. so paying one to fight for you makes sense, like in ffx

...but i think tossing gil is like pity to a begger (and get something to eat/drink) is the reasoning behind a samurai doing so, i'm not really for sure... such as johnny (aka a samurai) in guilty gear tosses a coin at then enemy as a special attack... etc etc

There has been a history of "toss" skills in FF, and gil was just one of the things you can toss. You could also toss weapons. These were mostly skills of the Ninja or Thief classes, tho.

The reason you could pay the summons Yojimbo was because in the Akira Kurosawa movie Yojimbo was about a ronin who played with 2 rival gangs who wanted him as a mercenary. He was constantly switching sides for profit.

The game has so many damage classes already, it's going to be tough to increase SAM power without making another class pissed off.

Maybe can do something for the SAM in PVP.

samurai hunt demons anyways, it would be like giving inquisitors the power to turn into jews for 5 minute intervals.

As I believe they are really just fine and peachy as they are, most of you are just renaming other class abilities and tacking it on.
if you want samurai with increased attack power and flurry of blows, do sam/war, that's exactly what it is!

                if anything, just anything

                give them accuracy+ I at lvl20

and if one is feeling extremely generous, and I mean going out on a limb, accuracy+ II at lvl60

lol while we are talking about skill we wish sams got I have afew ones I would have loved to see add

                  Passive:

lvl 20, 40, 60 Kendo: Great Katana delay shorten.

                  Active:

lvl 45 Draw:10 Mins cooldown , 1 Min last time
Does a random amount dmg set from 1-300 "with AF pants 100-600"

lol the skills would probly suck but meh I would like to have them

On the topic of Gil Toss I am to poor as it is all ready and it would be hard for me to even toss afew 100 gill every fights

                    FFT:A Jugglers get gil toss
And even then Amarant's gil toss did'nt exactly do alot, when i was packing around 800K+ of gil the skill at the most did 2800 and below dmg

(Edit:If I remember correctly gil toss in ffix did'tn actually use gil it was based on how much you had..I coulda be wrong though I might have been so insanely rich i did'nt notice the loss * shrugs*)

Make it a random element QUESTABLE weapon skill. It needs to be a pain in the arse to get, like hand in 420 Zinc Ores to the Tenshodo (Norg Fame Rank 10). The new weaponskill needs to be random element and questable. Probably they should make whatever new skills questable by high ranked Norg fame. I wouldn't mind seeing uber SAMs spending about 118,650 Gil. We are all about being noble and all, why dont we get our skills from quests?

                        Elemental Strike (passive)

Adds an extra slash to any elemental weapon skill sometimes.
