What did you Merit?

I recently hit 75 and got a 20k buffer, I am now looking at what to merit. A few things I know I don't want since I will be taking a couple of melee jobs to 75, but wanted to know what the other RDM's here decided to merit (and what order if possible).

ive got one in mp. and 2 in enfeebling. im going to max out enfeebling. and then mp. after that ill have to thank about it a little harder. i really want to max out my enfeebles with gear and merits and see how well i can enfeeble gods. its nice when you stick slow and para on the gods =D. right now i have 317 enfeebling in areas that are not under windy control.

mp is also super nice, there is a lot of level capped areas now and that mp carries over into the capped areas. +50 mp at level 30 from no equipment is pretty freaking nice.

i also plan on leveling up blm and i think those merits will help out that job as well.

You would only have +30mp, because the +10mp kicks in on every 10 levels.

Back to your question, I have 1 wind accuracy, 1 ice accuracy, and 2 enfeebling upgrades (soon to be 3).

wind = gravity and silence. pretty important imo.

is it the same with all merits? like if i have level 5 enfeebling, at level 30 would i only have level 3?

Yes, they take effect over time. Except job-specific ones, they only take effect on that job at 75.

Currently I have:

2x Enfeebling
2x Elemental
1x Wind Accuracy
1x MP
1x Critical Hit Rate

and two unspent points...will be a third Elemental or Enfeebling upgrade when I get a third point. Like the above poster, I'm also levelling BLM and find it very nice to have the Elemental skill merits on that.

You can only upgrade categories that you have on your 75 job...so upgrading for melee has to be done a bit generically unless you're doing something like THF or RNG where you could put points into Dagger, Archery, etc.
