Haste Belt

Some of you guys are already familiar with "Enchanted" weapons and armors like Reraise Gorget.

Today, I had chance to see the effect of Haste Belt in our Meripo (Merit Point) PT. Take a look at Mithran WAR/NIN on this movie first...

He (I should use "She" for mithra but the player is "he" as far as I know) had Ridill and he was the one making use of it. Well, he looks really crazy, doesn't he?

What's great is the "haste" effect of Haste Belt and the spell, "Haste" stack allowing us to have double Haste.

So far, it is only for DRK, PLD and WAR but imagine what's going to happen if RDM with Joyeuse can use it. I think S-E should allow us to have access to it because it helps us a lot to solo.

By the way, Ridill was awesome. Although he has some ubber gears like Adaman Hauberk, I was shocked to see he did about 1.5 times more damage than RNG on FFrep (197,404 vs 133,166 on 107 mobs for 2.4 hours)... There was another WAR/NIN with Scorpion Harness and he was supposed to tank but he wasn't able to hold hate at all Anyway, this meripo PT was excellent and I really had good time.

Thats pretty cool. Is it normal for a war/nin to not use two weapons?

He was first using Ridill and Juggernaut but he started to use Koenig Shield. I don't know why he did that but usually in Merit Point PT, we do something different that we don't do in XP PT for fun. In fact, we all got crazy in the last 30 minutes. Attackers all spammed their WS and did random SC. Mages spammed nukes. BRD pulled several weapons at a time and kept them asleep so that we could keep chaining them. We all had fun anyway. I wasn't able to stop laughing.

I'm now wondering what happens if he has both Joyeuse and Ridill

WAR/NINs using any combo of Ridill, Kraken, Joyeuse = tp machine.

I actually gain tp faster with just Ridill than when dual-weilding Ridill and a single-attack weapon, that may be why he switched. Or perhaps he was just playing around

Ridill's dps is definitely insane though. I've played around with Ridill+haste+haste belt, it's almost like having a 40-damage kraken club.

another off topic: does haste +x% gear reduce recast time like the haste spell does?

Yes, it does. That's the reason NINs want Speed Belt to reduce recasting time of Utsusemi

Hope the next patch releases something equivalent to that. Speed belt in my server is 17 million gils (2 in stock) now. Well monks has an advantage of having brown belt (8% aswell), and those fortunate enough the black belt (12%). Gearwise I think monks has the most haste items atm. (Panther+1 (or was it another name...) 3%, Black belt 12%, Fuma Kyahan 3% and uh... if you sub drg 5% earing (although not much point subbing for just this...)

Meh, anyways I hope there is something new in the next patch "Obtainable" without needing to kill something impossible for a non HNMLS people.
