  • Bio II resisted...

I was in a coffer hunt party in Castle Zvahl Baileys. I'm lvl 59, and everything we fought was VT or IT, and most of my enfeebles were resisted....fighting demons and ahrimans. But the thing is, is that Bio II was once resisted when I casted it on a Ahriman. Only once did it resist. I have never seen any bio or dia resisted. Even low level stuff can get dia and bio on me. So, I'm wondering why it was resisted. Has anyone seen this happen or know why?

Like Magic Pots, Ahriman have very high magic resistance and can sometimes resist spells you never see resisted on anything else (Dia, Bio, Dispel, etc). This is especially true if it uses the ability "Magic Barrier". Same thing also happens it you try to do it on an matching elemental, such as Bio against a Dark Elemental.

As far as I know, there aren't any debuffs that are 100% unresistable.

The "Magic Barrier" buff will resist every spell, including elemental attacks. It made XPing off Pots in Delkfutt's quite irritating.
      There will be cake.

I see now. Thanks^^ I was just so confused and surprised, because I haven't seen it resisted before.

They made a change to Bio as well not only do you need skill to have Bio land but you need as much skill as possible to make it effective, as rdm increases in level dark skill lags behind badly.

          Rdm 75
          enfeebling 276 (base)
          dark magic 200 (base)

The extra 76 points is a huge gap and really starts tp cripple rdm dark magic at about 55+

It seems to me that the skill only affects the amount of slip damage. I have casted it several times in XP PT but it didn't seem to be resisted so far.

As for slip damage, someone reported that it was 8HP/tick when his dark magic skill is 291. Actually, I'm very annoyed at ahrimans I usually farm when I'm hit by both Bio II and Poison II. Stoneskin wears off very soon.

I'd like to go to Ballista and see how effective my Bio II would be compaired to a Dark Knight or BLM's Bio II on a enemy. Considering it would be Even Match (75 vs 75) it would be all about skill.
