  • Analytical Approach to Enfeebling Magic

Enfeebling magic, primarily paralyze and silence seem to remain spells that I have no true understanding upon what factors influence it's duration, activation, and resistance. Right now I am primarily interested in increasing the activations of paralyze. I was thinking of doing a 3^2 (with replicates) design using of course mind and enfeebling magic as factors:

    enfeebling +5 (281) Shaman's cloak
    enfeebling +15 (291) AF body
    enfeebling + 25 (301) AF body + Crimson Mask

    mnd + 0
    mnd + 15
    mnd + 30

What I really need though to do work with this is a parser that gives me duration and activations per cast. I have an EN copy of the game and the current parser that I found only does DPS >.>

I was going to use a VT light elemental to test on so diff in monster levels won't be an issue with only one. I'll also start the fight on the same day. I dont' think moon phases should really be an issue so I'll note it but won't really consider that to be a confounding factor.

If anyone has any further suggestions (yes I will try with my blm and white mage at some other point, but changing enfeebling skill will require me to gain or loose a level, and neither seem like something I would really like to do >.> I also really need to find a parser so I can summarize in activations / second since activations/ cast would be influenced by duration which I really don't care about right now.

If I can get a parser that does what I want i will be able to do this and post my results.

I know Apple Pie uses one called something along the lines of FFREP, but it's in JP. If someone could translate it...that'd be HUGE!
