I am a 53 rdm hume. Does any one use a Light Staff for Cures. I am not usually a the main healer, but I am some times. I have a dark staff for mp gain while healing. I use wand for mind and int unless im frontlining it, which I have not done in awhile. So should I invest in the staff or should I spend the money on Wizard earring but they went up from 120 to 200 the past 2 weeks :mad:

I would probably get Ice (Paralyze and Elemental), Earth (Slow), and Wind (Gravity and Silence) Staffs before a Light Staff. But if you find yourself playing main healer a lot, the Light Staff would be helpful. -
I am a 55 rdm and I have the Dark Staff and I just got the Light Staff. I dont find myself being the main healr all that often but I really like the extra "10% cure potency". I have the Light Staff Macroed into all my cure macros. Plus these staffs have been droping way down in price on my server - I got the dark staff about 3 weeks ago 290k, its now 190. The same for the light staff, I jut picked it op for 145 - at the price there was no way I could pass it up.Comment

I recomend getting a Light Staff eventually, as you may not need it yet if you are constantly having WHM in your PT, but I would say that you will want to pick one up.
When it comes to HNM/Dynamis/etc. you'll find yourself helping in curing, and that extra 10% potencty can add up quickly. Also, when higher levels, if WHM are hard to come by on your server, you can find yourself playing main healer more and more. Most of my PTs nowadays are with Blink Tankers, thus we really don't need a WHM where we level at, so I find myself playing main healer plus Red Mage in many PTs.
Most of the Staves are drastically dropping in price on my server, and if yours is the same, it's a good time to grab them up.
This is the order I bought my staves in: Dark > Ice > Light
Some recomend getting staves to help with your debuffs, but I've noticed little to no difference when using wand/shield (I use Mythic Wand/Astral Aspis) compared to using the respectible staff.
So to sum it up and answer your question, I would say do invest in the Light Staff when you have sufficient funds, over your time using it, it will be very beneficialComment
