Equipment Sets for Rdm.

I have been looking more and more into Rdm as being my 2nd Job I lvl up higher. And I know that Rdms generally have quite a few equipment "sets" they use in certain situations, and switch between them via Macros. I however don't know what sets are needed.

I know of already the +MP while healing set. For gaining as much MP as possible while healing.

Would you have a set for say.. solely +enfeeble and +int? Or is that just AF?

Also I have PT'ed with some Rdm's that have a "tanking" set that they equip when dealing with a Link. Usually using Earth Staff and Carapace equip.

And I've seen Rdms have a macro switch for +Elemental skill equipment too. I however dont see the +elemental set as being quite neccesary.. seeing as how Rdm usually only uses Elemental spells on Burst (Moldavite, Ice Staff, etc.). I may be wrong however.


What I am doing basically is trying to judge what equipment I would need for when I lvl Rdm, based on the Rdms I see in game, and what equipment is available. I just needed some help one what types of equipment I should look for.

well....

i do some basic equipment-ing. for the most part, i'm all mnd+ - its very weak as a taru rdm/blm.

and mostly i have a club equipped for the stat bonuses. i have macros set for dark staff for resting, sword/shield for melee.

if you want more macro goodness, add a +int equip macro and a +mnd equip macro. my thoughts are anything more detailed and you're getting a bit overzealous. right now, at 60, i find i really don't need to do that switching stuff too much - my enfeebles have been sticking nicely.


what i am curious of, maybe i should start a new thread, is the spider torque vs promise badge debate. if apple pie sees this, i'm wondering what he thinks is better at lvl 64ish - an enfeeble+ neck piece, or the promise badge (for slow/para)...
