Vile elixir Use time?

Well this is my 4th attempt on Maat (was busy lvling mnk for a change and needed to gather up enough cash to upgrade my Rdm gear aswell). I bought both Vile and Vile elixir+1. So my question is, how long does it take to use the item. Is it instant or does it take certain amount of time till it uses. Thanks.

about 1~2 seconds. I actually selected it from the item menu and not from a macro.

its pretty much instant
id macro it for maat, wont have time to pick from menu
/item "Vile Elixir +1" <me> I think is how you do it.

yup, best thing to do with the items is sleepII or sleep him then use item, cause there is a small amount of d/t after the use when you can't do anything. and if you only need vile elixer then that's good, took me 9 trys and first 7 I didn't use any item, just working on strat, then last 2 I tried different things but I was noob with items w... 9th try I used in this order:

Super Ether, Vile Elixer +1, Super Ether, and Pro Ether to finish it off. (Note that Pro Ether has a medicine sickness thing where you can't use item for ~10 minute)
