The moneygrind is the real grind in this game, not the levelgrind. If you need lots of it you'll find something that works for you. Problem is most people get around 50-60 without ever needing tons of money at once and then they're stuck farming Pashhow or Zitah or something. I know some people that camp hairpin, some that camp boots, some that camp signa, some that garden, some that mine. Across the board, no one farms unless they're bored. Farming is not a real option when you need a lot of money at once. I do a combination of things, including going after things like Steelfleece/Bloodtear/less camped NMs when they're up (dear asshole rams - I know you don't want to but please drop the shield, thanks). You'll find something. Farming is for making extra dough when bored, not for when you need half a million gil all at once.

I did nothing but craft and farm (and go to RL work) for nearly a week to get my Dark Staff on Pandemonium. Got it for 442k. It is so nice to have :D Yesterday, I passed a party that a friend of mine was in, he told me that his party asked him if I was Japanese (must have been because of the staff lol). It makes a party without a bard much more bearable. Next I want an Ice Staff and maybe a Light Staff; but first I need to hit level 60 to wear my new hat! :spin:

yeah...originally, running around with dark and ice staff, people talked to me using the auto-translator all the time. i've even had a few NA players try to talk to me using romaji; however, they've become so common now, its like most people expect mages to have the elemental staves, me included. i actually consider any blm or whm without a dark staff a gimp now. thats how common they are on siren. go on an airship or on the boat between mhaura and selbina and you'll see 2 or 3 other people with a dark staff.
