I'm not sure how you can have a subjob at lvl 11, but you probabaly lvl'd some other job to 18.
Anyways..
As another "How to get money?" thread....
1 - Do and repeat as many quests as much as possible
2 - Log/Mine/Harvest are a good way to make money, but time consuming
3 - Fishing
4 - Kill beastmen for gil drops and items to sell to AH or NPC vendors
At that lvl, there really isn't a quick way to make lots of money. At that lvl, I would focus on doing quests to get your early equipment, like the one that gives you the full scale mail set, or the one that gives you a spatha that you can use or sell to AH.

Many people have money making strategies and are reluctant to share because if more people do it, they may not make as much money. If you want a more vague answer, then start up a craft, or try fishing. At your Lv, if you are from Bastok, you can farm hornets on Vomp Hill for beehive chips, and a 12 stack sells for 3k, which is not bad for a low Lv.Dtec

I farm Vomp hill (as above). You get:
Honey -- 2k per stack
Chips -- 3k per stack (or convert to wax for 11-12k per stack...36 chips = 1 stack...so if you get the crystals free you can do the math, thats 2k extra than selling the chips)
Stingers -- Few hundred each (though without treasure hunter i wouldnt bank on seeing stingers)
Gobbo Armour -- 500 - 1k each
Wind and Fire Crystals - 2k per stack
Sheep Skin - 300 per skin (or with 1 crystal convert 2 skin to 1 wool and sell the stacks of wool for much more)
Sheep Meat -- ??
Vomp hill is a gil mine basically.Hoppkins - Red Mage - Ragnarok

Best spots I've seen so far...
Pashlow- Thread Leeches drop beastmens blood, sells for 1.5-2k each in San d'oria, Gobbues drop bags of tree cuttings which can be sold for 5-6k gil each, or planted for greater rewards, but this is time consuming. Goblins drop goblin armor, and leechers drop scrolls, Crawlers drop silk thread (theoretically), but after killing at least 50 carnivorous crawlers, I've yet to get a silk drop. I find the highest rates for silk are, you guessed it, regular crawlers in saruta. Malboros can be killed for vines (400 gil) not sure what else they drop. It's always raining there, which means water elementals. It's thunder there sometimes too for lighting clusters.
Tahrongi- Saplings for seeds, bees for beehive chips, wind elementals for wind clusters, canyon crawlers for silk thread (rare drop- i dont have TH), dhamels for meat(800/stack), femurs(600-800each), hides(600-800 each), Goblins for parts, yagudo for bead necklaces.
Meritiphaud Mountains- same as tahrongi, except there are no bees or dhamels. Also, there are lizards which drop earrings and skins (8k/stack)- not to be confused with tails (useless) I've heard there are cockatrices here too, but I've yet to see one.
There are always things like Harvesting, Mining, Foresting, Fishing, camping NM's, etc if you have the time.
Last on my list, but not least, take a level 8-10 job to Ranperres Tomb, or Horoto ruins and kill gobs and bats. Bats will still give ~some~ exp which means wind crystals, and gobs drop fire. Also, goblin thugs have wild onions, which are 4k/stack. With my 8-9 DRG, I was mass killing these, and easily earned 10k for my trouble.
None of these methods (aside from some lucky mining runs or a successful NM camp) are "quick" gil making methods, but they are reliable, and should get you a good flow of cash.FFXIV: ARR - Leviathan Server - 50 Bard, 47 Dragoon, 50 All crafts, 48 Botany, 48 Miner
