  • Drk magic uses INT or MND?

I think INT, as BLM's and DRK's, who have good INT, also have the best dark magic skill.

    Just want to make sure.

It's unclear. Some people here have offered compelling 'evidence' that it's MND for Drain and Aspir.

We know from posted changelogs by Square-Enix that Holy, for example, is based on MND. So it is conceivable and not even much of a stretch to see that the standard 6-elements of 'elemental magic' are based on INT, and the 2 bonus divine/dark could be based on MND...

It makes for a very plausible argument and is one of those things it would be nice to know for sure...

But no one has worked out a demonstrable test that I've seen (since the results seem to be sooo random) and I haven't seen any hints in changelogs like was left with Holy. (Holy they originally forgot to include MND as a stat that affected it, so the change was noted.. Drain and Aspir are sooo old that it's not likely they'd forget such a thing, and if they did, it is buried in ancient japanese changes, probably even before .jp release).

Certainly I'd like to see a test. But considering how random the results of drain/aspir are, as well as the really long cooldown time, designing such a test would be challenging.
