Easiest Location to get Red Mage Testimony

Well im about to hit 70 less then 1/5 of the level left untill I hit it. Just wondering as to where the easiest place to get the testimony's is. I dont really want to have to bother more then 1 or 2 people to help me. Just wondering if there is a place a level 70 RDM and a level 70 of another class could duo one.

Upper Delkfut pots are around onatuyo(even match), to tuyo so you might need more than 2 people. Ru Aun Garden pots are even harder. Ruby quadav in Qulun dome also drops, easy to get a skill up pt there. Pretty much any pot choudo or harder drops it, good luck.

Testimonies are for Genkai 5, which is the 1v1 duel with Maat. Every job has a testimony and they drop from high level monsters with the same job type. So, a BLM Quadav in Beadeaux will drop the Black Mage's Testimony, and so on. You need one testimony per attempt at Genkai 5.

Okay, speaking as probably the individual on this entire forum who lost to Maat more times than ANYONE (over 20, lost count on exact number)...

I got my first testimony off the ruby quadav. Each and every single one after that came from those pots on the 11th/12th floor of delkfutt. As for their difficulty, they were mostly choudo (decent challenge) though a few were onaji (even match) and a couple were raku (Uhh.. whatever the thing below decent challenge is called) to level 70.

There were a couple times I had more than 1 other person with me, but most of the time, this is how it went down..

I'd bug either my 70+ MNK friend or my 70+ PLD friend, whichever one was online and free.. We'd head up to the tower, use the key from M9 on the door, go straight to the 10th floor. Halfway up the stairs to the 11th floor, we'd stop, I'd cast sneak/invis on the MNK or PLD, whichever was with me, and then sneak/invis on myself. Run through the 11th floor and halfway up the stairs to the 12th floor.

This is where we'd be for the rest of the time we were up there. Now, with my PLD friend, usually we'd just fight the two pots that were right above the stairs. One would pop, I'd silence it, he'd provoke it, and then we'd fight it. They take about 15 mins to repop, so we'd just rest up and talk about stupid junk while waiting for the pop. As for the MNK.. Well.. I'm not sure if this makes him braver or stupider, but he liked to clear out the two bats below the stairs after finishing up the two pots, then go run off and bring back a pot from the 11th floor. Never waited for me to silence the pots first either, just started in on them. I shouldn't neglect to mention that the only time I had to emergency escape AND the only time I DIED doing this, both were with him instead of my PLD friend, and both were because he returned with a pot AND a bat, and the bat would NOT go to sleep. ^^ So I recommend AGAINST fighting more than just the two pots at the top if there is only you and one attacker.

All you will really need to cast in this battle is silence, refresh, and cure cure cure, because these things are rather magic resistant so paralyze, slow, etc, are not very likely to work. IF YOU KEEP IT SILENCED, IT IS NOT A CHALLENGE for a 70 RDM and a 70+ attacker. If you fail to keep it silenced, you are likely to get yourself and your attacker friend killed. Just warning you..

Why Delkfutt? It's so much easier to go solo Hover Tanks in the Temple of Uggalepih... they're so much weaker and there's a zone nearby if you need it...

I don't think you have much to worry about for two reasons:

1. Maat's hitpoints have been significantly lowered, and he is no longer level 71

2. You are a Taru.

RDM battle is basically an MP endurance test, when you get right down to it. Elves are damn low on MP. 90% of the times I lost, if I'd had enough MP for one last spell I'd have creamed him. You'll have enough MP for 3-4 more spells above and beyond what I can do. ^^

And as for why delkfutt vs. ugglepih..

To be honest, for myself, it was largely a lack of information. All anyone in my LS knew for sure dropped RDM papers was delkfutt pots, tulia pots, and the ruby quad. At that time, I was not yet able to go to tulia, and since the ruby quad is like a 10-15 minute pop for ONE monster, delkfutt was the default winner. Plus delkfutt is right there by jueno, no need to find someone to teleport. If I had known that there were soloable pots somewhere in the world though, you can bet I'd have gone there instead of bugging my friends to go with me. I even tried garliage pots and weapons, as well as fei yin pots and weapons. I can solo them just fine, but they don't drop testimonies. Plus I really don't know my way around Ugglepih... Still.. Heh

Hover Tanks ... lvl 64-67 ... doesn't sound like an easy fight to me ... bleh I just spent 2 hours killing hellish weapons in fei'yin, then lag d/c'ed and came back dead and leveled down -_-; now I come here and Shar says they don't even drop testimony -_-;;;;;;

They sell abt 75k each on Fairy server atm.

Well I got 6 of my testimonals in Delkfutt - which resulted in 2 deaths (Bad Link of giants)

And 1 from the Temple of Uggalepih.

=o got a testimony last night from Hover Tanks when I was working on ZIlart 4 with some friends and someone recasted invis to close to one ~.

I got mine from Hover Tanks in the Temple in Ellshimo. I think its a pretty easy drop considering we got 3 of them when doing the sandorian mission for Lightbringer.

Well you can solo the hovertanks at 70, but it's far unless you can port there or take the hometown tp. If you solo, likely can only get 2 pots. But you can try to camp thief's knife when doing it (lol).

Delfuk tower is close, and pretty easy to drag friends along to help you. Also you can sit there and bum tests from PT's who xp there. But very hard if not impossible for you to solo the delfuk pots. A ninja friend would be best. I had a 74 thief/37 ninja friend usualy help me for my 13 tests. Easier to pull the pots here too, jsut 2 bats in the way and theres 5 pots.

Pots can easily kill you if they do magic barrier and a big nuke, so safer to bring a friend along. But you could always zone or run away out of spell range as well.

Well im going to grab 2 friends of mine a WHM and a SAM and try and go get this from Uggalipeth~ tonight. Hit level 70 finally after being 10k from it for 2 weeks out of uttter and complete laziness.
