  • AeroII/StoneII/Etc...

Yes, I finally bought dispel and protectIII, haste, and cureIV, and some new equipment. Now I have about 30k left over and was thinking of those Blm II spells I still need to get. Since rdm's can't do much dmg, out of this list, which ones would you recommend buying and why.

    Areo II
    StoneII
    WaterII
    PoisonII
    BioII
    SleepII

(Was saving up for dispel and all those other spells, so that's why i never bought them)

Could anyone give me their opinion on these spells? Thanks!

    My order would be:

    SleepII <- Must for emergency
    WaterII <-Frequently used to MB
    AirII
    StoneII
    BioII
    PoisonII

SleepII : necessary when a puller links. Even if you have a BRD, SleepII is good to have when BRD song fails.
WaterII and AirII: I use often for MB. Water more so than Air.
StoneII, I don't use much and I haven't come across renkei in a PT that really requires it.
BioII: use to increase your DRK magic skill, which really isn't important. I cast only when there are enough mages and MP.
PoisonII: Never bought and rarely seen it used in PTs.

      Tomoh already told you why

For poison2 bio2 stone2 I'll leave them alone and safe for ice2 and thunder2. Ice2 is like Water, can MB distortion which should be your main skillchain most of the time after Lv40+. Thunder2 is good for crabs, you'll be fighting crabs a lot later

        I agree with Tomoh.

Sleep II is a must-have spell.

Hey, has anyone noticed Sleep II can overwrite Sleep I? We can make them sleep for total 150 seconds (60 seconds + 90 seconds) without waking them up at all.

As for elemental ones, I guess you often see LV2 Distortion (MB: Ice / Water) skillchains around your LV. If you really do, I recommend you get Water II first.

Little unrelated...but after Sleep is on(for example) will it last the ENTIRE 60 seconds? or will it randomly wear off?

typically, my sleep spell lasts about 60 seconds...there are occasional half-resists, which is like...a monster that gets hit with it, but wakes up a little earlier than they're supposed to. haven't noticed this with sleep, but it's easily noticeable with sleepga. train a large mob of anything, hit it with a sleepga...most likely 1 or 2 monsters will wake up before the rest.

but wow O_O!! sleep II can overwrite sleep?! that is so cool! thanks for the info ^_^ imma test this out for sure
