  • Melee?

Ok rangers have the best attack right, but if ya run out of arrows how are their Melee skills? Does it compare with a warrior or what?

The ranger's second best weapon is the dagger (first being the bow/crossbow). When they use their dagger to melee, it's about the same as the thief using a dagger only they'll probably miss a little bit more. Quite frankly, it's really weak. You should always carry a lot of arrows with you because if you run out while leveling up in a party, you're letting your entire PT down. A ranger without arrows is like a thief without their powerful sneak attack/backstab ability.

          appending to Maxim's post
which is why Rangers cost so much to maintain...arrows and bullets cost mad gil to upkeep and replenish...and that's usually a cost most players don't want to put up with. Ranger is definitely a class for the dedicated (and the financially secure  )
As far as dagger usage, it's never about the regular attacks, cause that's just weak in reality...it's all about the literal hundreds of damage a single weapon skill can achieve with the fuidama...
and without sub /THF, it won't come to fruition with rangers...
most I've seen simply horde arrows and attack with ranged weapon non-stop...and some of those bow WSs hit REALLY hard..

I plan on begin a Samurai/Ranger so it wont matter to me if I run out of arrows or not because I still have my stregnth there and can easily convert back into a Samurai

You need to go to your mog house to change classes, so that won't work if you run out of arrows during a quest or mission. You'll have to run back to town to buy more arrows while your PT either goes on with the quest or goes back to town with you.

Tue but you know Samurai's are C+ when it comes to Ranged Weapons so I dont reallyhave to be a Ranger as my Main Class as long as I level my Ranger to a Level to were I can use ability's while im still a samurai then I wouldnt have that problem
