What is unlimited shot?

Is it some job ability or what? and if so, what level do u get it at?

Lv51 RNG ability that queues the next shot to not use ammo. You can use this ability in conjunction with the CQ arrows (which you only get one of for 30-some-odd-thousand conquest points) with Sidewinder to deal some impressive damage with great accuracy, all with the benefit of not losing that precious arrow.

First of all, it will not work with barrage.

Unlimited Shot and Barrage cancel each other our [buff wise].

Second of all, last I recall it is a level 45-50 ability, that has a recast of 3:00. Generally, though, the amount of hate it generates (can you say Mini-Provoke?) is not worth it in EXP parties.

Level 51. And I don't think the hate is all that? Sharpshooter definitely has it beat in hate generated.

personally i've never noticed any hate generated from unlimited shot.

i have from sharpshot and barrage, imo barrage generating the most hate (just activating it i mean).

Definitly barrage, but i've had a mob turned on me many times with Unlimited Shot.

Here's what I'm doing with CP Arrows from San (40k CP cuz I'm Bastokan)

Anyway, here's the macro:

/equip ammo "<San CP Arrow name>"
/wait 1
/ja Unlimited Shot <me>
/wait 1
/equip ammo "Scorpion Arrows" <-my regular arrows when EXP.

My question is for the CP Arrows to be dupe...do I need to have it in the ammo slot when I'm shooting or doing Sidewinder with the duped CP arrow?

Cuz with my macro, I just switch to CP arrow, dupe it then switch back to regular arrow, I dunno if the duped arrow is the CP or regular arrow. :confused:

I assume it buffers whatever is currently in the ammo slot. So you'd want to fire Sidewinder off before you switch back to Scorps maybe.

then use another equip macro cuz you dont have room to re equip back your old ammo? Or is there a better one?

You don't need the first wait since equip changes are instant. Too instant actually... You end up needing a wait after your command. You should be able to do it with:

/equip ammo "Patriarch Protector's Arrow"
/ja "Unlimited Shot" <me>
/wait 2
/ws "Sidewinder" <t>
/wait 2
/equip ammo "Scorpion Arrow"


You'll need the wait after the ws because the equip command is fast enough that it'll change your ammo before you actually fire it. You'll have to play with the timing, 1 should be okay, but 2 is probably safest. Just don't start another macro in between and interrupt the change back to the Scorps Probably best to test this a few times with a single Scorp arrow.
