I am waiting for the PS2 release and I plan on becoming a ranger. I would appreciate it if I could get a rough estimate or opinon of how many rangers are seen on different servers. It would help me out alot thanx.

There are ~25-35 rangers total (lv. 0-75) at most times on Valefor.
This is out of about 2500 people on the server at any given time.

Although I am rarely on during the Japanese prime time, and I would assume there are more on at that time.

On most servers at high levels RNG is the 2nd rarest job after NIN. It's mainly due to cost more than anything else. As you level, so do your non-recoverable expenses.

think of it this way, every 10 seconds at most, your throwing gil away, poof gone, never to be gotten again, you still want to be a ranger?

Thank you all for ur input.. I am going to continue to persue the class of the ranger. It seems like a great job even though it cost an arm and a leg, i will succeed.

I think alot of people dont realize how much work you well have to put into being a Ranger, and quit before getting to far, or dont try at all.

You really do have to put in lots of boring work into playing one of the best classes :D
