How do you support you Arrows?

I'm currently a Ninja I can afford my equipment and ninja-tools without a problem but arrrows seems insanely expensive.

There's this Ranger I've played with who blows through 1 stack of silver arrows in less than 15 min that cost 3k a stack. That's rather expensive.

At lvl 43 I have blown through a million gil so far on equipment and who knows how much gil i've used for meatmithkabob and ninja-tools.

Can anyone tell me roughly how much gil I'm expected to blow to get to lvl 43? 2 Million?! :mad:

Any tips on making gil to support your ranger? Any good places to farm gil fast? I really want to do RNG/NIN and NIN/RNG, but need to have enough gil to do so.

Level THF for the Treasure Hunter I or II ability, put it as your main if you want the TH2, sub RNG (for Widescan), hunt NMs or other rare loot which sells good. Farming Giants isn't to bad.

Or you can take some friends with you to do a BCNM40

You can also save money by leveling your Woodworking skill so you can make the arrows yourself, sure, you have to spend some G to raise it, but the money you save on the arrows you make will eventually make it worthwhile, and then I figure there could always be earnt some extra G by crafting bows, HQ bows preferably, but that won't happen till your skill is rather high anyways, or you get very lucky.

It's a myth that THF is rich...

Most things other people can hunt owns a THF. NM hunting? Don't kid me. You have no real chance of success (Never see NM spawn...someone else gets it).

I'm not 40 yet, but everyone in my ls of that level talks about BCNM making money, good money.

No it isn't.. double gil alone makes it worthwhile. When you start factoring in that they farm items 10x better than any other job, it blows everyone else away.

Nothing too good. It used to be good when refresh was worth something, but since its not anymore i would save my coins. The best thing you could get is 400k from erase, split that 6 ways, about 75k a piece. Compare that to getting the 3 mil raiseIII from other BC's and well... you can see why the 40's are worthless now.

Yes it is...double gil? I've never gotten double, it just adds on a little. Take giddeus for example, I'll only get 40-50 gil and most people will get the same.

I'm pretty sure Treasure Hunter is rare/ex (another example) farming low level crawlers, I got bad drops (and it's expected from those things), but a WAR/MNK was getting much better drops.

I need to level RNG to 10 and camp some NM, my weak THF body gets beaten up by easy prey tigers (for the San D'oria quest, 3 fangs = 2.1k)

It's BC50 you want anyhow.

3 chests.. Pick the right one and you get something nifty.. typically one of the level50 job specific rings... sometimes a spell or rare craft item...

Pick the wrong one.. and if your by yourself.. it's death.

Abit of a gamble.. but rewarding if you get lucky =p

Yeah, I hit that mimic BCNM with a 30 thf, got 1300gil, darksteel ore, and the lvl 50 bard ring. Not too bad. And if you're a thf or pal you can 2hr and instant warp hour if you guess wrong.
