RNG/MNK......any good?

I'm considering taking RNG on as my adv. job but that'll be after lvling my MNK to 30. I'm just wondering whether I should use MNK as my sub or mabybe my lower lvl WAR? What would be best?:confused:

Well, I did the same thing you're planning to do when I was in the beta.

No, monk is *not* a good subjob, in fact it is a terrible one. A monk is all about melee (as you know) and doesn't contribute anything really useful to the ranger's abilities.

If I were you, I would sub almost any class besides monk. Warrior works well, so I hear, but I was quite happy with a THF sub, as it boosted my accuracy and it took a little edge off the monetary pain a ranger's life inflicts.
