Accuracy a problem?

From what ive seen everyone seems to agree that ranger's are the best damage dealers in the game,but on the other hand ive heard issues concerning the accuracy of their attacks/renkei.

What im mainly wondering is in the period of a battle will a ranger deal more total damage than any other class' total damage,or will most of their sidewinder damage sink into misses?

Ranged accuracy can be horrendously boosted from items that are not only equippable at lower levels, but are not even that expensive. From my observations, rng have no problem dealing regular hits compared to melee, (sometimes even more accurate than melee), but its their weapon skills that have high chance of missing.
