If i'm a Dark Knight and I make my sub-job a ranger will I be able to use guns even though Dark Knights can't equip them?

actually...they realy do..i am a redmage..and when i went into wadi to get grass i had warrior as a subjob...and i used long swords....so it does effect what u equip..but i am not sure about that combo...i know when i tried to sub Mnk with Blm to level it easier i couldnt use the Knucks..i guess some subjobs effect the equipmentMinusdkp (Hades) 75WHM, 75MNK, 71DRK, 49NINComment

no, that just means your redmage can use that sword, your subjob doesn't effect your equipment.MiyamotoMusashi

Red mages have always been able to use swords...red mage is basically a white mage, black mage, and warrior all in one with different abilities and recieve spells later than a straight whm or blm.
What is death without life, darkness without Light, MMORPGs without FFXI?
