what items do you plan on using?

For me it would be...

Koenigs Shield
Happy Egg/Fenrir's Stone
Valor Coronet/Aegishjalmr
Republican Gold Medal/Iron Musketeer's Gorget/Grand Knight Collar
Cassie's Earring/Bloodbead earring/Suppanomi
Gem Cuirass/Koenigs Cuirass
Koenigs Handschuhs
Jelly Ring/Defending Ring/Bomb Queen Ring/Blood Bead Ring/Mermaid Ring
Crimson Cuisses
Crimson Greaves

I'll explain some of the less usual choices...

Grudge Sword along with Mermaid ring (and Crimson Cuisses) will help me kite tank, which is not only essential for some mobs, but fun for many!

Valor Coronet (it actually looks better with blonde hair than Gallant); for looks mainly. Aegishjalmr for general HNM hate.

Gem Cuirass as an alternative to Koenigs Cuirass... although if I got Koenigs first, I doubt I'd bother with Gem cuirass (even tho the +4 enmity is very nice).

Crimson leg gear; gives +20 to all elemental resists, which isn't anything to sneeze at. And a good +HP/MP bonus (+40 HP +40 MP together). But more importantly the cuisses gives +12% movement speed; which is absolutely kickass for kiting.

Plus the entire combination doesn't look that bad at all...

Maybe I'm missing something here but Adaman Cuirass isn't that great either. You're losing 20hp and keep the same 4 vitality. You gain 1 enmity and get a little more defense... I guess I'm just an HP whore but for HNM I prefer my Gallant Surcoat until we finally get a M.Abjuration.Bd.

I said gem cuirass. +2 enmity, +1 vit, +6 defense. But more importantly, the 1337 factor associated with it is much better.

Don't kid yourselves guys... 1337 factor is very important.

Suppanomi for +5 sword skill... in other words +5 attack/+5 accuracy.

Which is very handy with the rest of my 'assault' gear... when I'm not tanking, I like to hit harder than usual (and with joyeuse, I can do a decent amount of dmg...).

personally i quit PLD at 30 because its a boring job, and personally i think most PLD on bahamut are fucking retards who cant keep hate for shit

I still don't fancy the HQ version of Adaman Cuirass, but to each their own. I wouldn't take +5 sword skill over 2 vit though... As for Joyeuse it's fun and I love my sword, but I see it more as a TP tool than anything else.

As for the other 3 pieces of koenig I know they won't be as easy to get as my handschuhs were or shaller will be so I don't forsee getting them for sometime.

In all seriousness, if you want to be ATK mode, why would you use sword? I have joyeuse as well but if I want to do good damage on mobs that are even match and above, GS rules all. If you really want to do good damage, even on super weak things, just go PLD/THF and SA+spinslash for 1k-1.2k damage easily. Kinda makes that suppamonithingy worthless; if you care so much about ATK get a merman's and an assault earring.

Back to PLD's main role... I'd prefer Knight's earring over Suppamniwhatever, although I'd probably just use Pigeon + Bloodbead for hard stuff. Um... don't think Galka should use Cassie earring x_x;

Btw, whats the big deal about Hrotti. I saw a PLD with one the other day, and it didnt really impressed me. I mean, I am not saying it sucks, it just didnt had that wow factor of Joyeuse or Ridill. IMHO.
I imagine it can really help you with Fafnir, but what else? Or perhaps people wear just because its a drop from Fafnir?
