?s on STR and damage

I know, I know... Paladins are not meant to do good damage; truthfully i don't really care.
However, at level 44 my STR is my second highest stat.. about 10 higher than my MND. I think my VIT is about 63 and my VIT is about 55. I have even compared my STR to other damge dealers, and it's higher than some, such as DRG and SAM. Anyway, despite my high STR.... why is my damage so shitty. Once again, i know im not SUPPOSED to do good damage, but i am just wondering... thanks for any replies.

its simple you use +def food +deffender +def/vit equipment
damage dealer use atk food + berserk +str/atk equipment



i could tank better than pld i tank many af/quest NM deffender + def food and i can never lose hate

Bad thing about making assumptions. You have a good chance of making yourself look bad. The didn't mention anywere in his post about using foods or abilities.

Anyway Stat wise you can have all the STR in the world but if your weapon skill and attack is lacking then you have no hope of matching them. All that STR does is set were your average and base damage is, attack sets your potential how much damage you will be capable of reaching. This potential comes out when certain abilities are used, during critical hits, and during weapon skills.

On top the PLD doesn't get any form of Attack Boosts, Accuracy Boosts, or a form of Haste (Martial Arts). Their abilities aren't focused around damage their abilities are all to defense so that leaves their ability to deal damage to be low. Other then that the statement doesn't mention if you are comparing damage with similar weapons or not.

You shouldn't be worried about damage at all Defender Sentinal Fish Kabobs make you have great defense you're damage will be quite horrible but you that shouldn't be a concern for you, if you're interested in tanking and dealing damage go ninja

Pld get the attack bonus from war at lvl 60. This is the same % as what the drg attack bonus is.

The only attack bonus a paladin should interested in is Warcry.
