Rare EX high lvl equipment

I am wondering what Rare EX equipment should I put on my wishlist for later lvls 60-75

I know the Gallant set... which is pretty obvious from 50-70 probably... then the Koeing/Kaiser Dream set 70+ and also the Valor set also very dreamy (;-.-) so armor I have sort of an idea what to drool over.... but what about shields and swords? I cant recall ANY Rare EX awesome shield... im not even sure if there is one;;;

and what about swords? I have seen Dainslaf (sp?) and Hrotti, and both dont look too interesting for a PLD (for XP PTs that is), in my point of view. Is Gluttony Sword the only one to use up to 75? what about Great Swords anything i should start looking into?

I would appretiate very much the help from all those great PLDs out there like Daigoro, Thebruce and Wren to post their wishlist, or advice on which Rare EX equipment should I start thinking about getting....thx for the help

11/264 Sometimes 2-8 Attacks

Save The Queen (Sword)
40/240 Cover +1 Latent Effect: Accuracy +20

Defender Ring (Ring)
-10% Physical Damage Taken

Hades Earring +1 (Earring)
MP +12 Darkness Resist +12 Emnity +2

Cassie Earring
STR +1 VIT +1 Converts 50 MP to HP

Kaiser Shield (Shield)
Def 23 VIT +6 CHR +6 Emnity +4 Enhanced "Beast Killer" effect

Rosenbogen +1 (Bow)
39/350 HP +12 VIT +4 Ranged Accuracy +3

Peacock Charm
Darkness Resist -10 Accuracy +10 Ranged Accuracy +10


The list goes on and on and varries according to your build.
Some of these items can be crafted, others are on 24hr spawns, others are on HNMs.

limiting the shoplist to Rare/EX gears, i can't think of anything else besides the ones u already mentioned, for shield, sword, and armors. (read on for accessaries)

for the shield, Koeing/Kaiser at 73 should do the job. for the sword, Espadon is just fine even at 75. (which is kinda sad, btw.) and both r not Rare/EX, so u won't have to fight HNM's like u would for Hrotti.

imo, PLD's AF set is one of the best among all jobs. u r just fine w/ them even at 75, and there r no other clearly-better gears available yet. Koeing/Kaiser series r good for HNM fights, but for normal leveling parties, u r losing a lot instead of getting much. likewise, Valor series r not completely better than "normal" AF's, again u r losing something in return.


for accessaries, these may be tempting for us;

Defending Ring, Lv 70, Dmg Taken -10%
Fenrir's Cape, Lv 70, Day: Def +10, Night: Enmity +3

and, though not Rare, these conquest items (both r EX);

Grand T.K. Collar, Lv 65, In regions controlled by other nations: Acc +5, ATK +5
Rep. Gold Medal [Neck], Lv 65, In regions (same as above): MP +50


btw, personally, i don't like Gluttony Sword, mostly because i'm an Elvaan. later in the game, or after lvl 65 to be specific, PLD will have more chances to participate in renkei than ever before, and for this reason, i don't like the long delay of Gluttony Sword. yet, i'm not against those who use it, i just don't like it personally.

Most of the stuff had been listed but you can do a little more research, decide for yourself what rare/ex items you would like to have ^^

a decent place to start is here

under the textbox on left (just under where it says Earth(jst) ) is item categories (laid out like the AH)

weapons
gear
scrolls
etc

hit the [+] and it will drop sub-categories which is also laid out like the AH...gear for example

shield
head
neck
etc

roll your mouse over the gear names and the flyout will give you the english name. Here you can see the pic, its stats (in jpn), and rare/ex status.

If you see something you would like english info on, copy the name of the item and cross reference it with something like this site.

a little ways down you will see a text box, paste the name in the box (make sure to erase any extra spaces) and hit the button at the bottom of that table.

your browser will probably need to be able to display japanese text to make the most sense out of this ^^

wow thats awsome daig... thats exacly what i was looking for! I will fugure out how to work out the JP and translate and whanot (>.> after NA i kinda uninstalled JP from my PC) but anyways thx for the info that helps greatly ^_^
