Switch Allegiance?

I'm currently Rank 4 in Windy w/ 15k+ CP. I "exchanged" Windy CP for gil on the AH to buy the Bastok Cent. armor. This probably could be seen as a "big-no-no." I have been reluctant to switch allegiance to Bastok because I really like helping out my guild with achieving higher ranks for Windy. I am aware that there was almost no difference in earning Rank 4 between Windy and Bastok because all 3 countries had to climb Delk's Tower.

Is it still possible for me to gain ranks along with my Windy counterparts as a Bastokan? What restrictions will I have? Are the mission objectives (mobs to kill, places to go) similar between Windy and Bastok from Rank 5 onwards? It appears that earning CP for my gear later on is going to be important, so maybe at lvl 23 (w/ my PLD) it still isn't too late.

You can switch allegiance anytime you don?ft have a mission accepted. It will cost some $$$ though..~40K change to first place nation down to 4K to switch to last place. All the big missions through M12 (6,9-12) for all nations are the same but M13-20 are completely different. After M12, some are BC fights and only those from your country (or ones who have completed it, and changed countries already) can join...others are PT/Alliance missions and anyone can help.
