I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figured the Paladin forum-goers would have better experience with this than just the general warrior forum folks.
I'm currently a level 20 Elvaan Warrior. Once I hit 30 I'm planning to go PAL/WAR, however, until that time I'm in a bit of a bind.
What would be the best subjob to take with my warrior right now in preparation for the switch at 30 to PAL/WAR? I've heard several different answers for this - some people say WHM to give my white magic skills a boost, others say MNK, others say don't bother and grind all the way to 30 as fast as you can.
Pallies out there - what would you guys do, if you could do it all over again? I want to be the best paladin I can be when the time comes, and as such, I want to have myself adequately prepared for the job beforehand.

But monk clearly is the best sub job up to lvl 30, and depending on if you want to invest the time I would suggest going sam sub after lvl 30 to lvl 40, but again that is just if you want to be the best war to lvl 40. Shield/armor break and then renkeiing with sturmwind is nice :0. My whm friend just resently asked me why I didnt start with whm sub to be a weak pld like war. Truth is I really think war/whm is usless you just dont have enough mp to anything but you would get a chance to improve on your healing skills before taking the leap to Pld/war.
