Paladin/ White Mage Combo

If i used a PLD/WHM combo would it allow me to attack and heal party members as a backup healer and myself when needed? Right now I am a WHM which I enjoy but feel helpless at the same time would this solve that problem and also allow my healing power to be just as a high as a WHM's?

Your healing power would be much lower than a WHM mage but you could act as a Tank and support healer. The thing you might want to consider is that there are tons of fighter type job characters on most server and WHM are much more needed than tanks so you would probably be forced to play your Mage..

you might also consider using /war as a sub, it will give u provoke which will be very useful for a tanker like the pal. doesnt the pal already have some whm skills available??

Ya they do have some Whm skills but more with actual Whm subbed

i wouldn't use PLD/WHM unless your a tarutaru as they have almost double the mp compared to the other races. you might be able to pull it off with a hume as long as you have to electrum earrings. hopefully Square-Enix will give PLDs a way of controlling hate, but as of now if your anything but a taru you should sub war instead.
