Can the pally quest be soloed at 30?

How hard is the pally quest?? Running around in Davoi sounds pretty hard to do. when lvl 30. Any chance on soloing it?

In theory you can run to the river agro free, but after that Pugils agro and can kill you, so you run like hell..

.. best bet again is a WHM or RDM and Sneak, Invis, and Deoderize ^^

If your not a whm then buy a stack of silentoil and prismpowder.

Keep youself sneak+invisi to the well...turn off invisi, check the well and your done.

If you see the NM Blubbery Bulge guarding the well....come back another day, but if its the normal Davoi Mush you can last long enough to get the item With luck you might even make it out in one piece (i.e. someone KO the jelly already, Perfect Evasion + warp scroll, etc)

Its solo-able if your crazy lucky.

I ran in there hard, with no sneak, no deodorize, no invis. Ran through the river with a dozen pugils chasing me. Got to the well with 19 hitpoints left. Snatched the key item before the Bubblery Blobthingie pounced on me.

is Davoi a dungeon? couldnt you just use a chocobo and go to the well? Sorry dont know

Davoi is outside but you can't use your chocobo there, the chocobo will refuse to enter Davoi.

I can see how a suicide run could work, especially if you get lucky. The pugils in the river are decent challenge or less to level 30. The orcs and lizards towards the back of the zone are considerably more difficult but if you dodge them you might make it.

The safer method is to get a whitemage to go with you. It is how I was able to make it all the way in and all the way out at level 30 (well 29, I had lost my level "exploring" by that point).

It's not really that hard, I solo'ed it at 30 no death. just buy 3 prism powders and 3 silent oils. (only takes 2 of each to reach well if oyu know the way and don't stop) you don't need to use deoderizers cuz the pugils didn't seem to aggro me at level 30.

You have to go by way of the river. I'd map out the way behand or you will die. Also use conquest points to get the teleport scroll. Just wait till jelly is on far side of well and rush in and click on it and rush out. then use scroll to teleport home.

Dunno if i got lucky or not but thats how i did it. To be safe always build yourself a 3-4 death buffer after reaching 30 instead of stopping right away.

Pugils are sound aggro anyways. Sneak/Invis is all that's necessary.

If you really wanna go through davoi by yourself, get some scentless armlets. Davoi Pugils and the War Lizards go by smell. IF you don't though, be very careful and make sure that you stay as far away from Pugils.

Here's a really nice tip I picked up about smell and your hp meter. The way that smell goes is by blood, and the more damage you have on you (lost HP) the more susceptible you are to enemies that smell you. So if you are going to be aggroed by a pugil and there's no way out of it, make sure you heal after fighting one.

Now about soloing this... It's possible. Very difficult and you'd have to be very lucky to do it, but it's a possibility, Hardest part is getting to the river and getting back out to the well. Getting to the river takes you through one of the orc camps, once you're at the river you should be safe from the orcs from above, but once you get out of the river it's dangeresque again, lots of War Lizards and a tier 5 orc waiting for you, but once you get to the well, kill yourself and warp back to San d'Oria and you're set.

But once you go through all that, you get one of the best support jobs in the game.

If you use sneak and invis properly you can go all the way in and all the way back out without dying. On my successful trip I lived from the entire round trip. Its all about timing. If your sneak and invis only wear off at places that are convenient to refresh, it will be very easy for you. If you have bad timing, thats when it gets hard.

taking more ppl will not help anything, you cannot fight your way thru and live. All you need is a whm with sneak and invis and make your way there thru river.
