Whas so special?

Whats so special about a Paladin? Im digging out some info and I cant find anything that realy seperates a Paladin from a Red Mage (red mages get offensive spells)...

Can someone give out some details on Paladin skills/spells?

PLDs are basiclly all defensive. Weaker attacks than a WAR, but stronger than a RDM. They have no offence spells besides holy, just cures and protects for when the healer is getting low or to add more hate, they're far different from a RDM.
Pretty much all the PLD abilities are to get hate and absorb damage.

Paladin = meat shield. The bait. The one who *wants* to get hit. ^^ RDM = not that.
