Will a Paladin/Summoner make a good balanced character?

it would make a balanced character(access to white magic as well as summons) as well as the various physical abilities. But it would not be a good character. Your summoners level transfers to your summons character. So a level 30 Ifrit would be fighting a monster who would fight level 60s. Plus you would not have a vast amount of mp to fight with either. It's a general rule of thumb that instead of getting a balanced character, stress one point of your character, so you can be in a party of experts, not people who excel at nothing, but are decent at everything. If you wish to be a warrior main job, go warrior sub-job. Paladins should be tanks, nothing else. Taunt allows them to be good tanks.

Well, most of all because the person who asked the question is now 75, and i found it quite amusing that people that now are 75 was newbies earlier on

I did Pld/Smn one day while skilling up in Kazham to confuse the newbs. :D
