Ok I want to be a pally, but i also want to be something diff than the norm, but i love to group and i'm worried that if i choose something different, i won't get pt invites, so is there any sub that would still make me a good pally, but i don't have to be a sub warrior?

Some PLDs sub WHM so they can become a better back-up healer and gain hate that way, but the only flaw with this is that there will be a lot of resting time after battle (to heal MP) unless there is a level 25 BRD or level 41 RDM in the party. And of course, resting after battle is the bane of all parties.
Subbing WAR is the most efficient way of gaining hate because taunt is instant hate for the user every 30 seconds and it's absolutely free as opposed to casting Cure spells, and casting spells takes a few seconds as well.
Sadly, there isn't anything else that you can sub and still be useful, I'm afraid.

actually considering how most of the time the Paladin ISN'T in the renkei order, for him/her to rest after battle is ok if they are assisting with the healing since the other mages ahve to rest anyway.
BUT WAR is pretty much the only sub because of taunt.
