not sure war/pla or war/drk

i need some help on this.not sure with way to go.i have heard alot about pld's and drk's just want to know the pros and cons of each job.and which is best for a group.thanks

One really isn't better then the other. Paladins are more necessary to a party, since they'll be the main damage receiver. Dark Knights are not as necessary since several jobs are able to deal similar amounts of damage.

Really, you don't want to be a WAR/PLD or a WAR/DRK. You want to be a PLD/WAR or a DRK/WAR (better pasive increases that way) as for which to choose, it really depends on this: "What do you want to do?"

Paladin/Warrior
-The majority of your time in the PT will be spent doing taunt as many times as you can so as to effectivly raise your hate above the other PT members and take all the hits, since no one is nearly as strong as the Paladin. You will also have a good ammount of White Magic available to you, but you will have to use it more carefully than say a White Mage since your MP will be rather lacking, it can however be a good tool for raising hate as well. All in all you will be essential to any good PT and a very good character.

Dark Knight/Warrior
-You would be the strongest attacker in the game, and as such would spend your time just attacking over and over. Unlike the Paladin, the Dark Knight's magic is basically useless because your nukes aren't as strong as a Black Mages and you DON'T want to raise hate. So pretty much you will be... Attacking... Attacking... and Attacking also, due to their defense you won't be able to take much damage before dieing so don't do off without a good Tank and a good healer or your as good as dead.

Personnaly, I'd take the Paladin. You will always be needed and wanted, your magic is useful and you can take a hit like no other. It really depends if you want to fight or defend though. I think tanking sounds more fun of the two though.

OK Thanks What About Swords And What Swords R Good For These Jobs???

Paladins are best with 1 Handed Swords, and will lv them up the fastest.

Dark Knights are best with 2 handed swords and scythes. I think Scythes are stronger and more popular though.

About the paladin VS DRK...
DRK is usefull when you find enemies that are less resistant to it.
And, the DRK abilities are very usefull to you're atack.
So, I'm thinking of DRK/PAL. It would be a super combo!
It would be usefull in many points... A media between paladin and DRK!

Exactly what I said. The only problem people told me, is that since they're both advanced jobs, lvling them will be hard. I asked how hard it would be playing 24 hours a day. They just stared at me.
