I'd just like to point out that if haste works like most percentages, then 100% would reduce delay to 0.

Let's say base delay is 400.

100% in numeric form is 1

    400*1=400

    400-400=0

    Delay=0

Could be a different equation for haste though.

i'm sure its diffrent your not getting 100% haste your getting 35%, 6%, 3%, so taht would be

400> 280> 274 > 26X.X or something along those lines, there gets to be a point where its diminishing returns and it seems to happy very quickly

        XD not true

        Dual Wield 1+2+3+4 = haste 30% ?
3 Enhances Dual Wield effect from ear+af1+af2 haste % ?
-with rdm/whm spell haste and brd who cast 2 haste songs haste % ?
        haste equipment 41 % total
        - panzer mask 2%
        -speed belt 6%
        -hands 4% (af2)
        -feet 3%
-ninja ears low hp = 20%
        -drg ears + neck = 6%

what i want to know is there a limit or cap for weapon delay reduce?
what happen if you realy can get +100 haste ? ( and ninja can :dead: )

Hmm, I think of haste differently. I think of it as % above 100%...

If you are wearing the speed belt, which is 6% haste, I consider it as you are attacking 106% as fast as what you would without wearing the speed belt. So a weapon with base delay of 200 would effectively be 200/1.06 ~ 188ish delay.

Thus if you're at 100% haste, you are 200% as fast as someone without haste items/effects. 200/2.00 ~ 100 effectively cutting your delay in half - i.e. double your attack rate. In effect you could have greater than 100% haste, like 150% haste would only mean 250% faster than someone without any haste at all.

I don't know where you're getting the 100% haste = 0 delay from. To me that just doesn't make sense.

The reason why DRKs move lower on the top damage list as we get toward 75, is because we replace the THF.

If I were to sub WAR and spam warcry, berserk etc ... I guarantee I would be damaging as much a ranger.

However, this is suicide for DRK, so we sub THF and decide to control hate, and we do a damn good job at it, being able to close both level 3 renkei's.

i look at haste as 6% haste making you do 106% of your normal damage also. so 100% haster would make you do 200% damage, as stated above.

also, nin's out damaging drk's....get real. i have trouble believing a nin can come even close to an rng, blm, mnk or drk damage wise. a war/nin does more damage than a nin and doesnt do as much damage as any of these classes.

a drk after 60 can SA/TA onto the tank allowing the drk to get much closer to its max damage potential. true it still cant use soul eater and last resort nonstop, but if it does SA/TA + soul eater + last resort, then does a WS off the tank, the drk can keep the damage rolling for some time before he has to worry about hate.

also about something stated before by shadz, war/nin being a damage dealer not a tank....you're joking right? nin is probably the best sub for a war tank, so i guess you're saying war's cant be tanks? true they do good damage, but they are definitely good tanks.

thf/nin low damage? a thf/nin is a damage dealer, how does it do low damage? and of course you will never get hate, you'll be SA/TA'ing off the tank adding hate to him. if you're gonna add thf/nin to the list of tanks you have, you might as well add rng/nin, at least that combo can generate some hate.

Delay is capped to something around 150. I tested this using Bard haste songs with Soul Voice and Haste from a RDM. I used a beestinger which is 150 Delay weapon and my speed didn't go up. I was still attacking at the same speed. The only advantage from 100% haste you is that you could spam Provoke and Utsusemi nonestop without any delay on the recast timer. This is another test I did with the Haste + March (haste song). With both spells on me, an ability with a 60 seconds timer changed to 40 seconds. Haste + March gives 40% reduction on the timer of abilities and spells/songs.

[Made a mistake, haste+ doesn't affect recast speed of abilities. Only spells. You cannot reduce Provoke recast timer.]
