i know this has been gone over several times but i see alot of lower level people answering these questions and i want a answer from someone experienced^^

my first thought was as a nin/war stack up on all the +eva i could find but then i got to thinking, evasion is not something you max out easily, its not like a weapon where you hit a mob and it goes up, it seems like evasion is hardly maxed or maybe its bc ive played a mage mostly so far, so for you high lvl ninja's (60+), not counting your equipment is your evasion maxed? ive read several posts saying how stackin up on evasion they did not notice a difference, having +40 stats to evasion including food and equipment and not a noticable difference, IT mobs still hitting most everytime, so i wander if their evasion was maxed for their level?

so say their evasion was maxed for their lvl and they had +40 eva stats and did not notice anything, having any equipment with +eva on it would be useless unless it was just a added stat on a already needed item. would it not be smarter to completely through out +eva thoughts and concentrate on +att +acc +agi for throwing, if +40 eva and there is no noticable difference then it seems to me its not worth getting anything with evasion unless it is jsut a bonus stat on a already needed item for other stats.

so im thinkin about putting mostly a mix of +dex and +agi and a little +att any high level(60+) that has a comment on this would be nice, thanks for the input in advance^^

Well really im not sure on how the +1 Env's work because my env is maxed but does that mean that my armor's +1 Env still take any effect? I have like 3 gears that are +1 Env. And im not positive but I do think that it does take an effect into your envasion.

You can max out evasion for your ninja if you take a high level job and solo a slightly easier monster for a few hours. For example, if you fight a level 40 monster with a level 50 job, your evasion will rise to the level 40 mark, so when you switch back to NIN it will have maxed evasion until level 40 (give or take a few levels depending on whether you capped the skill for level 40 or not). Even if your evasion is capped (blue) the evasion+ gear will still take effect. Try tanking without any evasion+ gear and then try tanking with it and you'll notice a difference.

But as far as maxing evasion goes, it must be done if you want to tank before level 37. Getting +40 evasion isn't possible at low levels but getting around +30 is easy to do, and most of the good evasion+ gear also comes with AGI+ bonuses so you get to kill two birds with one stone.

After level 37 you get the second Utsusemi jutsu so you can rely a little less on evasion and concentrate more on boosting attack/ranged attack and accuracy/ranged accuracy. It becomes significantly harder to keep hate as levels go up because other jobs get access to powerful abilities and spells so boosting attack and AGI is crucial, but during low levels constantly Provoking and the occasional shuriken throwing is more than enough to keep hate.
