Gear question for 45-50

I got a couple questions for you guys, I wear a jujitsu gi and was wondering is it a "upgrade" to swich to brigandine ? I dont have much problems hitting IT's that i have noticed outside the beetle type mob. That brings me to my second question I am keeping to the "evasion gear = must" . I have +18 evasion and was wondering if i should toss the surviaval belt for a life belt because i dont know how hard future mobs are to hit.

im still using the brigandine till AF....

jujitsu looks nice, but doesn't really offer any good stat modifications..

as far as weapons, unfortunately Yoto+1 is the best if you can afford them.

however @ 51 -- I picked up 2 Darksteel swords.

Sadly enough, the delay might not be the quickest but it deals a larger amount of damage than any of the katana's at that level.

Yea i am not impressed with the katana selection Yoto+1 are not that exepsive (20K each) . I have been thinking of going to swords for a while now , i ask if the accuracy + modfiers make up for the lack of skill in swords. Been planing to camp ochiudo's kote every time i have checked it there has been some one camping it

I am keeping the Gi til 49, as for your "Evasion = must" this is somewhat true...however IMO, the Ochiudo's Kote is a must have.

Yes, it is -5 Evasion, but if you have a Spirit Torque you can cancel that -5 Evasion out.

Keep the Gi, the accuracy bonus is VERY nice. Brigandine looks like shit anyway, I tried it on and sold it back to the AH the next minute.

Life Belt is a must for melee classes, the Kote should be next on your list, these two items help me keep hate and do decent damage.

If I remember correctly, my equipment at lvl 50 is something like this:

Emperor Hairpin
Dodge Earring x 2
Spike Necklace
Jujitsu Gi
Jujitsu Satibaki +1(I wore this instead of a Ryl.Sqr.Breaches cause it covered the ugliness of the boots)
Winged Boots
Life Belt
Sandorian Ring
Balance Ring
Ochidous Kote
Windege

I'm wearing the full Arhats set now, minus the gloves, I can hold hate nicely with all the +emnity on it. Alot of evasion and agility on it too.

Thanks for the info , i got a brig and a life belt but i still have my gi . You are right tho about the brigandine its ugly on top of the fact every god dam melee has one

What is the lvl difference at around lvl 50 with swords and katana? Well I gave up Great Katana and Swords at Qufim b/c the lvl difference was like 6! That's kinda ridicilous IMO, b/c it's like being 2 lvl lower in Accuracy and Attack. My sword skill are low, is it worth the effort for me at lvl 48 to bring it back up to use darksteel swords at lvl 51?

well the swords hit harder, the accuracy might not be dead on, but when it connects you will notice a signifigant boost.


worth leveling ur swords @ 51? i dunno how much time u have lol.

the gi kinda sucks, but i couldnt' find anything else that i wanted... but meh.... and the Ryl Squire stuff is good, has mostly Agi and Dex boosts... :3...
